Malvolio just gave a nod before turning to down the rest of his drink. "Dad done most of it, mind, he spoke to the witches and thought of a way where nothing'd be sacrificed. Risked Mikael coming back and falling out with the rest of the family. Think you need to give him some more credit, Viol,"

"It's not the kinda thing you bring into a conversation is it?" Vanessa pointed out, picking at blades of grass. "Hi, how you doing? I found out I can't have kids today, sucks doesn't it?" she said sarcastically.

Astrid rolled her eyes and was silent then. Whispering after a few moments, "I know it's nothing really, but I could speak to Kol and we could have it christened just so you could be the godmother. That'd be cool, huh? You being a godmother and an aunt?"

"Just, just appreciate it, yeah?" she whispered quietly. "Every time you feel it move inside you, or you hear its heart beating, even when you're giving birth, bringing it into the world, just appreciate that you can do that..."

Tatia yawned quietly, snuggling against Klaus as she watched her children play in the park.

"M'sorry, but if you hadn't told me about you being pregnant then I wouldn't have snapped at you earlier." Vanessa whispered, "It's just tough, being surrounded by what you can't have."

Tatia was soon dozing lightly against him, comfy enough to gently drift asleep as she was completely exhausted.

Tatia lolled against him, falling into a deeper sleep, and not even noticing a few hours later when Hope came over, complaining she was tired and bored.

Violet nodded and got up, heading out of sight for a few moments.

Vanessa was quiet then, before changing the subject. "What've you got mom for her birthday in a few days? I'm stuck on ideas other than booking her and my dad somewhere, giving them a break before the baby comes..."

Hope hesitated. "Only if Hen and Mia want to..."

"I found this pretty heart locket necklace and you could get something inscribed into it, so I got her name at the top and then everyone else's below - me, you, Mia, Hen and Hope in the Viking symbols. It's simple and I couldn't put the baby she's having on there because I don't know of they've named it but…" she shrugged, "It's all I could think to get."

"Sounds nice, more personal than my idea." Vanessa nodded, "Would you mind helping me looking after the twins and Mia if they do let me send them away?"
