Vanessa moved to lay down on her bed.

"Just try and teach her to say mom if you're teaching her anything." Kol sighed.

"Mhm," Astrid hummed softly, "Why you being so sensitive to everything sweetie? You tired?"

"Just get some sleep Ness, okay?"

"I stay up half the night to make sure you're okay, of course I'm tired."

Vanessa nodded, pulling Klaus down next to her and curling up to him. "If Nate doesn't want anything to do with the baby then that's okay, he or she won't need a daddy, because they're gonna have the best granddaddy in the world." She whispered sleepily.

Alec: put the burgers on the buns and then called for her brothers

"Well you shouldn't be doing that," Astrid sighed, "Lay down on the sofa and get some sleep until my mother and Klaus come back and we can get home. You must be exhausted."

Klaus just laughed a bit, smoothing her hair down gently and whispering, "Get some sleep, Ness,"

Fleur watched.

"If Nate comes here then don't be mean, please daddy, just let him come in and talk to me. I told him if we haven't spoken by tonight then he won't get to see his baby, so he might come. Just let him in…" Vanessa sighed as she drifted off to sleep against her father then.

"Mnot leaving you to look after four kids on your own."

"Wouldn't be leaving me, lay on this sofa… like I was doing, look." She sighed, pulling him down beside her and down so he'd have his head gently on her lap. "Now get your legs up into the sofa too, close your eyes and relax, my love. More rested you are before our girls come the better."

Klaus just gave a hesitant nod in response.

(( Night )))

Vanessa slept deeply against Klaus then, not moving or dreaming, too mentally and physically exhausted to.

Kol sighed and did as told.

Astrid brushed her fingers through his affectionately, holding Kira against her with her other hand.

Klaus stayed where he was for a few minutes before gently laying Vanessa down, covering her over and leaving the room.

Alec: put everything onto the table and kissed her cheek lightly as he heard the boys coming downstairs

Fleur just wrapped her arms around Alec in a tight hug.

Tatia was sat at the table with a coffee, a mug waiting a another seat for Klaus.

Kira gurgled gently as Kol slept.

Klaus sat down opposite her quietly.

Astrid smiled at her baby sister, reaching for the TV remote and turning the TV on though making sure the volume was fairly low so it wouldn't wake Kol. Putting on a baby's show for Kira.

"I don't think he's coming." Tatia said quietly as she took a sip, obviously having overheard Vanessa's words to Klaus. "I think she's gonna have to bring this baby up a single mom…"

Kira twisted around in Astrids arms to watch it happily.

"We'll find out in the next few hours, I suppose," Klaus replied.

Astrid alternate her gaze from Kira, to Kol to the TV.

Tatia nodded, putting her cup down and reaching a hand over to hold his. "How're you feeling?"

Kol was flat out asleep still on the couch, barely having shifted from his original position.

Alec: smoothed her hair lightly How's your head?

"Still hurts, pain killers haven't kicked in yet."

Astrid brushed her fingers gently through his hair once again before glancing to the TV quietly and watching it.

"Okay, angry. Want to rip the boys heart out," Klaus muttered quietly in response. "What about you?"

"A little conflicted." Tatia admitted. "Happy, because I know this was something Vanessa wanted, just not over these circumstances, angry at that pathetic boy like you are, even more so now that it doesn't appear he's going to show his face and accept responsiblity, but also sad for the same reason, I just can't see why anyone could be able to do that to Ness. Hook her like that and play her along..."

Kira clapped her hands happily every now an then, pointing for Astrid to watch.

Alec: just frowned deeply

"I never trusted him," Klaus muttered. "It makes me angry that he proved me right about not trusting him. I hope he shows up, it'll be hard for Ness if he doesn't, but then I want him to stay away aswell so there isn't a way for him to weed his way in and hurt her even more."

Astrid just laughed quietly whenever she would point.

Fleur rested her head on his shoulder, "Love you, Alec,"

Alec: I love you too. he whispered kissing the side of her head

Brent and Caleb: both came down into the kitchen

Fleur didn't pay any attention to them, leaning heavily into Alec and closing her eyes sleepily.

Tatia nodded. "I feel the same, I want him here so she doesn't feel as alone, but I think that him staying away may be better for her in the long run… we'll just have to wait and see if he shows up."

Klaus gave a nod of agreement.
