"I don't think you need to worry about him weeding his way back in though, there'll be iron bars around her heart for a long time after what he's done to her… I almost pity the next man that falls for her, he doesn't stand a chance." Tatia said quietly before leaning back and waiting then.

Alec: sat down at the table and put her on his lap keeping an arm about her waist

Caleb: sat down keeping his eyes on the table

Brent: glanced at them all

"There's still a chance though," Klaus replied, "With him there is. He's done it before."

 Fleur curled herself up on Alec's lap, nuzzling her face into the crook of his neck.

"Because Vanessa still thought he felt something for her, now he's made it perfectly clear he doesn't. She's not stupid enough to let him worm his way back in and harm her again."

Klaus just nodded, looking up when there was a short, single knock and Nate entered the apartment.

Tatia looked up too. "She says you can go straight in and see her." She said quietly. "Don't forget we can hear every word you say to her, so don't even think about being rude or horrible to her, she's been through enough at your hands."

Nate just rolled his eyes at them before going into Vanessa's room and clearing his throat in an attempt to wake her up.

Vanessa stirred a little before blinking her eyes open with a small groan. At seeing Nate she sat up, whispering in a surprised tone "You came…"

Alec: frowned a little bit brushing his fingers through her hair

Caleb: ate in silence

Brent: glanced around frowning slightly

"Of course, you're carrying my child."

Fleur had soon fallen asleep against him.

Vanessa nodded. "I am, and I'm glad you believe me."

Alec: kept an arm around her using his free hand to eat and watch his brothers

Fleur slept rather soundly against him, moving her hands when she nearly fell off him to grab a hold of his shirt.

Nate just shrugged, "Now what? I still want to move back home, Vanessa. I can visit and things, but I'm not staying here."

"If you move back home you'll die eventually. Our child will get attached and then you'll just die…" Vanessa whispered. "You won't be involved in the pregnancy or most of its life if you move away. I'm moving back in with my parents, you can have this place."

"I could visit often, and if I die eventually I die. That's how it's suppose to be anyway."

Vanessa sighed. "Come on Nate, I can't do this on my own, an do you really want to miss out on your child's life that much? I think for the sake of our baby we should at least try and be friends; you can't hate me as much as you claim, and well… you know how I feel about you."

Nate just sighed in response, remaining quiet as he thought.

Vanessa watched him, pulling her knees up to her chest and resting her head on them. "Just friends is all I'm asking, and for you to be part of our babys life." She whispered.

"I can quite easily be a part of our childs life and live at home. Phone calls every night, I can come over every other weekend. Take month long holidays sometimes."

"You'll still miss out and you know it." Vanessa whispered. "Can you at least stay here until its born? You can be involved in all the scans and stuff then."

Nate just sighed deeply before giving a nod in response. "Fine."

"Thank you." Vanessa whispered, sounding sincere. "And us trying to get along?" She asked quietly.

Alec: picked her up and carried her to the couch laying her down and then sitting down and lift jng her head onto his lap so they'd both be more comfortable

Fleur blinked her eyes open to look at him then.

Nate just nodded. "We can do that."

"Thank you." Vanessa whispered once again, clearly relieved, before tentatively asking in another whisper,"Can I have like a hug or an apology or something?"
