He smiled softly at her.

Emily just walked off.

When Enily had walked off, Kaida whispered a soft, "She didn't mean that, she loves you to bits really." as she stepped in front of him and pulled him into a hug.

"You're going to be just fine," Nate agreed softly, "Just rest."

"How many people do you know that survived a werewolf attack, hm?"

He hugged her back. "No I think she does."

"As soon as she's strong enough to survive the drive from here to the airport and a couple minutes on the plane before her healing kicks in I need to get her out of here." Vanessa whispered as Holly drifted off back to sleep.

Caleb: Dunno I don't normally go around asking people if they've been attacked by one.

Nate just gave a small nod, "I know," he whispered quietly, "Please let me see her again…" he pleaded.

"No, Lijah, she loves you. She's just a teenager, that's all." Kaida whispered, tangling her fingers in his hair as she hugged him.

"Nor do I, but it's not likely is it? Wolves are vicious at night…"

He hugged her back. "It is my fault though."

Vanessa frowned and reached over, taking his hand. "I will, I promise I will. I didn't mean what I said before I was angry, but as long as she wants to see you I wont stop you from seeing her."

"It isn't," She whispered, "What makes you think it's your fault?"

Nate just gave a small nod in response.

"And even when she's a moody teenager and wants nothing to do with you I'll still ship her out here." Vanessa laughed a little at that.

Again, Nate just nodded in response, watching his daughter quietly.

Caleb: We don't know what we're doing at night, don't remember what we did. All we know is the hunt.

Vanessa let go of his hand then, gently tucking the blankets up around Holly and tucking her teddy in beside her.

"You know loyalty, normally you're in packs. You want to kill vampires too, don't go for humans as much anymore." Mia replied, adding. "I know it all,"

Nate watched quietly.

"You've been up for a while Nate, why don't you go home, get some rest, a shower, something to eat. I swear I won't go without you being able to say goodbye." Vanessa suggested quietly.

Caleb: Yeah I know that, but sometimes when there's nothing else we take what we can get. Poor kid was just in the wrong place at the wrong time...

"Because I started it."

"Lets stop talking about it now,"

"I don't need to. I'm staying here with her, Ness. You aren't getting rid of me." He replied a little bit sharply, clearly not trusting her.

"You didn't."

Caleb: just shrugged his shoulders Okay

"Look at the state of her Nate, I'm not going to risk moving her for another few days at the very least. You were up all day yesterday, all last night, and all of today. You're tired, and you need a rest. Leave your bloody sister here if you have to to make sure I don't do anything."

"Yes it is."

"I'm not leaving her, I'll fall asleep in this bloody seat if I have to. Don't tell me what to do, Vanessa, don't you bloody dare." He told her sharply.

"So how's your cousin?" Mia asked.

"How?"

"Because in Klaus' eyes, I don't stick up for the family enough. I'm more of a Salvatore instead of a Mikaelson."

Caleb: Trin or Matty?

Vanessa just sighed and shook her head, "Can I have your keys then? I want to go get some toys for her, keep her occupied while she's in here."
