"Why shouldn't I? What else did you have in mind?" Tatia asked quietly, her smirk growing wider as she moved a hand up his arm to rest on his shoulder.

"I've just got out of bed and you're already trying to shove me back in." Kol laughed, "I will." he added afterwards.

"It's weird sometimes, watching the world change around you, and then you go back to the sea, and its the same sea that was there the first time round a thousand years ago when I crossed it. And I look up on a night and see the stars and the moon, and they're the same stars and the same moon I've been looking at all my life... It's comforting that those things stay constant, I guess."

Astrid just smiled lightly before whispering, "I'll let you get back to your coffee."

"Mm, you'll have to wait and see. There's a reason I didn't want you unpacking the things in our room, why I said I'd do it." Klaus grinned.

Karl gave a nod of agreement. "A lot has changed,"

"Tell me about it, in the past eighteen months I reunited with my estranged father, watched your mother collapse into misery as her sister died, I've been hated for being honest about our brothers, the people I turned and thought were my best friends ditched me because of who my dad is, I met you, you promised never to leave me, I started to like you as more than just my friends, then I had my memories wiped because I started a relationship with you, I then got those memories back and now I've run away again with you..." Eri listed quietly. "And in the end that's insignificant because the sea and the stars and the sky and the sun and the moon are all the same..."

Tatia's eyes widened a bit at that, "Maybe the wine can wait till later then," She hummed, "I wanna see..."

Kol just nodded at that, kissing the top of her head before pouring the water into his cup.

Klaus laughed and shook his head, "You choose wine first so that's what it'll be I'm afraid."

"I don't know, calling them unnatural was a little cruel. I know we went through more than they have been through at their age but all the same they are only kids and they don't choose to be what they are or born what they are. It wasn't nice, hurting them like that."

Astrid sat herself up on the counter.

"They didn't even give me a chance after that, I tried to apologise and neither of them would have it. I wasn't going to waste my breath over and over again. I tried, they didn't want my apology, I don't feel bad about it because of that."

Kol went and got the milk, pouring it in quietly.

"Maybe I've changed my mind," Tatia grinned, before giggling and pulling from his grasp, running upstairs.

"Tat, no, come on." Klaus called up seriously with a frown.

"I've caught Adam trying to Nick your car keys by the way, since he past his rest and Adrian keeps trying to walk to the bar to get a drink. They're starting to lash out, I think,"

"Mm," Karl hummed.

Tatia sighed at that, hand on the door as she was about to open it. "Why not?" she whined, "You've made me all curious now, I wanna see." she said, but stepped away anyway at his tone.

Kol frowned deeply at that, sighing heavily.

"They make out like I never tried and I did, but they just didn't care. Jealous I think, that dad was interested in me... well they can have their perfect dad back, I don't want him."

"We'll get them back on track though. I've been doing my best to, obviously."

"Because you choose the wine first that's why. So that's how it's working now."

Karl just nodded.

"I've made such a mess." Kol sighed.

Tatia pouted and headed downstairs to meet him.

"They're teenagers, they were bound to lash out sooner or later. Don't blame yourself." Astrid whispered, sliding her arms around him in a hug once again.

Klaus watched quietly.

Tatia walked to him, still pouting.

Kol hugged her back quietly.

Astrid just held him close, brushing her fingers over his back lightly and not saying a word.

Klaus just laughed and headed into the kitchen to get then a glass of wine each.

"When they get up I'll fix this..."

Tatia followed close behind him.

"Until then, try not to worry about it."

Kol just nodded, pulling away to grab his cup and heading to sit down in the living room.

Astrid followed quietly.

Klaus handed her some posh, rare wine in a brand new wine glass.

"Pushing the boat out a bit aren't we?" Tatia laughed with a small smirk when she realised how rare the wine was.

Kol sipped quietly at his drink, slowly waking up properly.

"I'm spoiling you,"

Astrid sat beside him and turned the TV on.

Kol watched quietly.

"So I noticed," Tatia smiled, taking a sip before leaning up and kissing him on the cheek. "It's appreciated, thanks."

return."Where're you planning on taking them?" She asked curiously.

Klaus smiled and kissed her on the lips in return.

"I was gonna let them decide."

Tatia kissed him back softly, resting her free hand on the side of his cheek.

Astrid gave a nod in response to that.

Klaus kept it brief, pulling away after a few moments to pour his own drink.

"If they want to actually do anything with me that is."

Tatia quietly sipped at her own before going to sit on the rug by the fire in the living room, since the sofa handy been delivered yet.

"Of course they will, you didn't really mess up. They just feel a little neglected, I think, spend the afternoon with them and everything'll be fine."

Klaus joined her.

"Those kids can hold a grudge, I'll wait and see."

"I think this is the biggest place we've had yet." Tatia mused. "Especially our room with the walk in wardrobe and the garden…"
