"Don't apologise. I've had worse things thought of me." Cedrick stretched lazily and, almost fluidly along with the movement, shifted.

"What are you doing?!" Ria frowned, furrowing her brows and getting up.

Cedrick did an undignified scramble to get out of his clothes before he stretched and flopped onto his side to sun himself.

Ria backed slowly into the house.

Cedrick stared at her until he could no longer see her.

Ria locked the door behind her, not wanting a wolf tearing through the house.

Around about that time, Cassius would have called Ria's phone during his break, to check up on his brother.

"I have a wolf in my garden. Come fix it!" Ria almost hissed as she answered.

"Its just Cedrick." Cassius sounded indifferent. "He's a big puppy, really. Just let him and open the door to his room. It's fine. He won't hurt anyone so long as they don't hit him first."

"Anyone could walk in and see it!"

"Then he's the biggest fucking crossbreed you've ever seen." Cassius deadpanned. "Just get him into his room. If he's shifted, somethings bugged him and he's stubborn as a mule."

"You come and fix it!"

"I have algebra in fifteen minutes! And I wasn't the one to fuck up this time, obviously you've gone or said something so you fix it! I'm not a miracle worker, I can't fix it if I don't know how you've gone and fucking broke it!"

"Well I don't either! He's your responsibility isn't he?!"

"Only when I'm available! You have a better idea of what you've said or done than I do!" Cassius didn't wait for a reply and ended the call.

"Bastard!" Ria hissed.

Cedrick was still sprawled out in the back yard, looking almost asleep.

Ria sighed deeply, watching him.

Cedrick's ears briefly flickered in her direction and then he curled himself up tight. He'd heard her talking about him.

Ria sat down on the other side of the door, watching him to make sure he didn't do anything.

Cedrick just remained laying there completely still.

"Why did you have to shift?" Ria whined anxiously.

Cedrick just curled up tighter.
