As it turned dark, Charlotte, Caleb and Elijah joined a group of people who were seen as being lower class sat around a fire and the older men in the town were telling stories to the younger ones.

With a small 'thud' a bucket of fish hit the ground just next to the fire, Dragomir grumbling, "That should keep the younger ones going for at least this week. I'll go fishing again tomorrow before the river freezes over."

"Humfp. If he comes near you again you tell me, I'll straighten him out for you". He answered straight away knowing whom it was she was talking of. Straightening up he slid his hand back into his pocket once more nodding his head to her at her thanks. "It's a bit chilly this morn but I'm well."

He hesitated for a brief moment, obviously not to find of socialising that much before sighing softly and sitting himself down where there was room.

"I can protect myself, thank you very much. I'm not the one that ran away from a rabbit thinking it were a bear when we were children." Sence teased, shoving him with her shoulder.

Charlotte looked at him and she smiled softly, before she went back to watching the elders as they told their stories, occasionally she would laugh with Caleb and they looked more like brother and sister than best friends, especially when she lent into him.

Dragomir remained completely silent as he listened, his entire focus on the elder as he listened intently. Every so often turning the stick he had out the fish on over the fire so the other side would cook.

Thaddeus rolled his eyes waving her off with a laugh. "I know that you can but you know you're like a baby sister to me" he commented seriously his eyes fixing on her face before he started walking along side her. Wrinkling his nose at her remake he grumbled under his breath "Hadn't we agreed not to speak of that moment?"

"I believe we did agree that yes, but I enjoy bringing it to the front of your memory, Thad. It embarrasses you, which makes it amusing." Sence laughed before asking, "How is your horse?"

Dragomir leant forward and took one of the smaller pieces of the fish when everyone else had had a piece. Offering the remaining to Charlotte, Caleb and Elijah.

With a groan and another roll of his eyes he shook the memory off his attitude changing at the mention of his baby. "The weather is taking a toll on her this year I fear, she's just now overcoming yet another cold. You know how she is though, won't leave my side" he responded with pride patting the beautiful black and white horse on the side.

(Mah I can't think of a name for the horse. lol)

"Eleven. She's getting well up there in age sadly" Thad whispered with a sigh turning his eyes to the horse that was nudging her muzzles into Sen's hand with a light snort.

"My fathers horse lasted until it was twenty, you need to stop worrying about her so much Thaddeus." Sence assured him gently, moving his gaze over to meet his and telling him, "She still has a good few years in her,"

Dragomir frowned at that but didn't say a word.

When the stories stopped and everyone got up to eave, Charlotte stayed behind, though she said goodbye to Caleb and Elijah hen they decided to head home and Charlotte sat there watching the slowly dieing embers of the fire, her arms wrapped around herself to keep warm.

She frowned, reaching over to rest her had on his upper arm gently and whispering, "She's just fine, Thad, you'll have her for a long while yet. No getting emotional on me, hm?"

"I don't get emotional" he huffed frowning at her slightly but it was playful now, his fingers lazily brushing along the horses side. "Walk with us home so I can get her in the stalls and then I'll walk the rest of the way home with you?"
