Sence reached up to stroke his cheek caringly.

He kissed her finger tips and then the palm of her hand.

She smiled, whispering, "I am so blessed to be married to you,"

"I'm your sisters best friend, its hard not to."

"I know whom you are. I am not worried or anything of the like. It is her life to live."

Thaddeus shook his head. "No my dear, that is where you have it wrong. Tis I whom is blessed now."

Sence shook her head.

"Yes Sen. You are the light in my life...all I have left is you."

"And I, you,"

Thaddeus grinned hugging her gently to him.

"I know it is."

"You want to know the truth?"

"That would help."

"I am not happy. My fathers death has brought upon us a harder time...mother can not care for us all as she wishes to do so. My siblings have all begun courtships to hopefully become wedded and be less of a burden to mother but I am...as always am deemed alone."

"You are not doomed to be alone, and if you or your family need help with anything you have me and Elijah."

"You do not know that. And mother is not one to accept any outside help."

"Hey, you're young, smart and beautiful, you have a long time to find love and get married, don't go wishing your life away so soon."

"Whom says I am wishing anything? You have asked me to be truthful and I am being so. Do not tell me what I am to wish for or not."

"I've forgotten how alike you and Marie are."

Laura narrowed her eyes at him. "I am nothing like my sister."

SShe smiled.

"There are similarities, just like there is between me and Elijah."

She just wrinkled her nose.

He laughed playfully.

Laura just shook her head.

"Are you going to the village dance tonight?"
