After about twenty minutes with no movement from Nessa, he got to his feet and left the room. Pulling his phone out and calling Tatia.

"I think you should give it a go, think a friend'll benefit you and she hasn't mentioned the notes so…" Astrid whispered so only he could hear.

"Great," Tamara replied cheerfully with a small laugh, "Would been humiliating if you would of said no and hung up…. I uh…. Have nothing to do for a few days if your free too? Sure we have some things in common, we could meet up and do something."

"She is." Klaus whispered. "I think Ness, Leon and Nate are all heartbroken to be honest. Horrible situation."

"Uh, tomorrow then? Coffee or something?" Adrian offered, looking to Astrid to check that was a reasonable suggestion.

"Nate will take it badly, he'll want to hurt her for revenge, that's what he's like... Have you heard from Leon? I haven't."

"I heard him storm out, since then I haven't though." Klaus replied with a small shrug.

Almost on que, Leon knocked on the front door of Tatia's him before entering, walking into the room Tatia was in. His eyes a bit bloodshot as he asked quietly, "Where's Kari and L.J?"

Astrid smiled and nodded when he glanced to her.

"Yeah! That sounds great…. Uh, about midday, that place on the corner near the library?"

"He's just turned up, I'll phone you back." Tatia whispered, hanging up and pulling Leon into an embrace. "We missed you Leon, I'm glad you're back."

"Sounds good, yeah."

Klaus put his phone back into his pocket before heading back into Vanessa's room to check on her.

"You can stay here with the kids tonight, and until your get yourself sorted." Tatia offered.

"Yeah, tomorrow."

"I've gotten myself a hotel for tonight, will sort a actual home out tomorrow... Thank you though." Leon whispered quietly. "Mind... Staying with the kids tonight would be a lot better than a hotel room, if it isn't too much of a burden on you that is."

"Okay," Tamara whispered, "I'll see you then. Bye." she replied before hanging up.

"Didn't expect you to arrange to meet up with her, Rian," Astrid mused, "That's good."

Klaus sat beside her and pulled her into a gentle hug.

"No, you weren't at all. You made an effort, which was nice. You weren't pushy at all and once you got over your initial nerves you seemed to speak to her just fine." Astrid replied with a shrug, "How do you think it went?"

"I won't for long.. Just for tonight, sort out my own place tomorrow."

Klaus smoothed her hair down gently.

"Your no monster," Klaus denied with a shake of his head, "Don't think of yourself like that, Ness. You done what you thought was best, which was the less cruel option for them. It is worse on yourself then it is on them. I'm proud of you, for being so selfless."

"Thanks," Leon whispered before heading into the livingroom silently.

"Just do your best not to be nervous, Rian, you done fine talking to her just then." Astrid replied, "And I'm sure you'll do fine tomorrow, too,"

"You won't be there tomorrow though."

"The kids will live with Leon, I know it. I'll be on my own." Vanessa whispered. "I don't even have any friends, not really anymore. I'll be alone now."

Karina was sat with her brother in front of the fire as they watched a movie.

Leon sat himself down behind them both, wrapped an arm around each of there shoulders and kissed the top of their heads before whispering gently, "I'm sorry you two, I tried..."

"I didn't help you much just then," Astrid pointed out, "Other than encouraging you every so often just to go with what you were going to go with anyway. Follow your instinct, be yourself, it'll be fine."

Klaus just let out a small sigh.

Karina tensed a little at that. "You're going away now, because you're not with her?"

"I'll be fine on my own dad." Vanessa whispered then.

"Myself isn't very interesting."

"No, I'm staying here tonight then I'm going to find a place no further then walking distance to live. Visit you lots if you want to live with your mother." Leon whispered quietly. "Every day if you want."

"She choose him over you? Why?"

"No, she didn't choose.... Got rid of the both of us."

"Yes you are, Rian and she clearly was interested in you otherwise she wouldn't of given you her number, wouldn't of agreed to meet you tomorrow." Astrid replied.

"Of course you will be, but you won't be on your own. Me and your mother are here for you, Ness. You can always move back in, there is always a home for you."

"I don't think she did, Rian, if that was the case she would of mentioned them in that conversation some how." Astrid assured, "Obviously a big part of you wants to believe that she has good intentions otherwise you wouldn't of arranged to meet her. Just meet her tomorrow, take it all one day at a time, if it goes bad tomorrow than don't meet up with her again, hm?"

"Your actions were selfless though, Vanessa, and me and your mother are here for you," Klaus whispered.

"Because she loves us both." Leon shrugged

Leon just shrugged a little bit.

"Don't get it." L.J frowned.

"The others are doing fine at the minute, and they know to give us a call if something happens. You need us, we're always here for you Ness. No matter how busy we are with your siblings."
