Klaus wandered inside silently and watched her, completely drenched in blood to the point his hair was knotted from it.

Leon walked silently to where the baby was then.

Aria continued to chant softly.

"Dad please..."

The baby had been dressed in the clothes Nate had brought to the hospital when Vanessa had gone into labour, his hands and head covered with gloves and and a hat. He was still wrapped in the blanket and looked a little more like he was sleeping than before. He was laying in a crib in a room with a midwife overlooking.

Klaus just watched, waiting patiently for her to finish.

Leon entered the room with Vanessa silently and walked over to the baby.

Nate just sighed.

Malvolio just sighed softly, "Okay,"

"Leave." Vanessa told the midwife, watching her go before climbing down and walking over to her son. She lifted him gently from the crib and moved to the bed in the room, placing him down and laying beside him. "I'm sorry I wasn't enough baby, that I couldn't keep you. You were just too perfect. I didn't know you long but I love you; every time you moved in me I loved you and I always will. Wherever you are I hope you're at peace now." She whispered quietly, pressing her lips to his forehead. "I said that I wanted to name you after my father if you were a boy. Not his name but something similar. I think Nikolai suits you." She mused quietly, taking his hand. "Nikolai Leon Mikaelson-James.... Bit of a mouthful huh? And we're gonna have to keep your middle name a secret from daddy." She laughed a little. "Bye bye baby...."

"Nik what did you do?!" Tatia asked, stunned as she walked through the door. Having come after arranging Astrid to look after the kids. "Did you kill your hybrids?!"

"You should go say goodbye to the baby before a funeral director takes him." Holly mumbled.

Saffron hugged him tightly sniffling a little, when she pulled back she wiped her face with her sleeve. "C-can we have a party in a week or two?...or maybe just a dinner? I want to see everyone again..." (She means like Caleb, Alec, Mia, Fleur...um Mal's dad (can't remember his name) ect..)

"Fifty of them, a hundred humans… to get Nessa's little boy back." Klaus replied quietly, "She can't lose him, she wouldn't recover if she did."

Leon watched quietly with a deep frown.

"I already have, Holly… and your mother'll be there… I'll have to be alone to say goodbye properly and she isn't going to leave so…"

Malvolio nodded, "I'll try and organise it."

"I'll come with you, tell her to give you a minute."

Vanessa just closed her eyes and held onto her sons hand.

"She may lose him though, what if this doesn't work?" Tatia said gently. "If you of all people don't think she'll recover..."

Nate just let out a small sigh and shrugged a little bit, "Okay, Holly… okay."

Leon watched.

Holly got up then and headed towards the room her mother was in, knocking on the door and entering. "Mum... Dad wants to say goodbye... On his own."

Vanessa just nodded, kissing the baby's head before getting up and taking Leon's hand to leave the room.

"I know you did honey." Tatia nodded, rubbing his arm.

Klaus slid an arm around her waist and kissed her cheek gently, whispering, "This has to work, Tat, it has to."

Leon got to his feet and followed Vanessa out.

Nate walked inside silently.

Nate just nodded and watched her go before walking to the baby and picking him up gently.

Klaus nodded in response to that, whispering, "Sorry if I get blood on you, by the way," as he pressed his lips to her cheek.

"It's fine, it'll clean." Tatia hummed.

"I've done all I can, if the child is to wake it will be soon." Aria said quietly.

Holly watched for a minute through the window before holding her mother close.

Leon kissed the side of Vanessa's head gently.

"Thanks Aria." Tatia hummed before asking. "Can we use your bathroom to clean Nik up?"

Aria nodded. "Top of the stairs."

Around five minutes later the baby began to stir in Nate's arms.

Nate's eyes widened a bit at that, whispering gently, "Baby? Hello there…. I thought you were..."

"Thanks," Klaus replied before heading up the stairs.

Malvolio just returned the smile before heading into the house.

Tatia followed him.

The baby shuffled around some more before opening his mouth and wailing loudly.

Outside Vanessa flinched at the cry, it taking a few seconds to register where it was coming from before she burst into the room.

Nate smiled brightly and held the baby close, "Sshhh, baby, sshh," he soothed, "You are okay now," he laughed, "You're okay, right here. Daddy's got you."

"I so hope this spell worked." Klaus whispered

Vanessa laughed too when she saw her son wailing, stepping to Nate's side and kissing his cheek. "He's alive." She whispered, runnin a hand through her sons dark hair. "He's alive!"

"Me too Nik, me too."

Nate nodded in agreement, "It is so, so great." he laughed gleefully.

Klaus was silent then, just grabbing a towel and dampening it and wiping the blood off of his face.

"I don't understand... But I don't really care either." Vanessa laughed, leaning against Nate. "Can I hold him? Please?"

Tatia turned the shower on. "You want me to get it out of your hair?"
