"He's here because he feels obliged." Violet shrugged. "I'm sure he'd rather be at home with his family than be here. Same goes to you,"

"You are his family, Violet. He's probably missing the others but with almost losing you I don't think he minds being here. As for me, you're my daughter, your father is here too so it's not like I am away from anyone and even if I was I would still be here, because your my daughter."

"No…. No I'm not Violet." Alfdis replied simply, "I'm here because I want to be, I need to be but I want to be too. What have I ever done to make you thin that I only do things out of duty? I love you Violet, I'm going to be here for when you're unwell as I always have been."

A few days later, Falin was sat on the sofa beside Damon, asking almost silently, "When is your 'friend' going to leave, Damon? Every time I'm by myself he speaks to me and it's annoying."

"He has a crush on you and my sister, the minute Elijah gets back, he will get rid of him. The bastard is scared senseless at the mere mention of the Elijah Mikaelson." Damon laughed at the thought, since he and Elijah were really close now, and he drank the rest of his whiskey.

"Elijah's not sca- I won't say that. Last one I thought he wasn't scary, when I thought me and him were friends he killed me so…. Where's he gone off to - Elijah?"

"He went to visit some old friends on 'business' up in Seattle, I think he took Emily and Kaida with him."

"Mm," Falin hummed before mumbling, "Why can't you just get rid of this guy? He's your friend…. Talking of friends I should phone Ness, make sure she's still alive. I'm awful, always falling out of contact with her."

"She does move around a lot more than we do." He held out her phone to her. "But if I could move him, then I would try too, but I can't he's older and stronger than me."

"I could still keep in contact though, if I were a decent friend. Life here just takes over sometimes, y'know?" Falin shrugged as she took her phone off of him, raising an eyebrow at him and asking, "Are you scared he'll hurt you or something? That's not like you. You never normally seem bothered if people are older than you or not."

"I worry about you and our daughter, you two are the only things that I will worry about now." He told her, before he got up. "Because you two are the only things that I have left and what I don't plan on giving up, now I'm going to go and pick Isabelle up while you make that call."

"Not going to phone her right at this very moment," Falin frowned, "It was just a thought I was having is all, I'll phone her later on.."

"Alright, but I still have to go and pick up our daughter." He kissed her lips. "Coming with? Or going to occupy yourself around here?"

"I'll clean up, it's annoying the hell out of me, the mess of this house." Falin replied.

"Alright, I'll be back soon."

"Okay," Falin replied, pressing her lips to his gently, "I love you, Damon,"

He kissed her back. "Hmm, I wonder if you would like to show me just how much." He asked her playfully.

"Mmm," Falin hummed, "How much will never be able to be expressed, and I can't even attempt to show you at the moment as you have to go and pick up our daughter."

"Always tonight, when it's just me and you."

"Mm, we'll see,"

"Noah said I'm broken." Violet whispered in response. "That my brain needs fixing."

"Yes we will." He kissed her again before he grabbed his keys and left.
