Kira sighed and nodded.

"When are you going home then? Since you've decided.."

"In a few days..."

"I'm suprised not sooner."

"Need time to get used to it before my parents fawn over me for it all."

"Fair enough," Scott agreed with a small nod.

"Need to sort myself a place out too... Sort us a place out?"

Scott nodded.

"I mean, if you want us to live together that is. Might make this easier. We could have separate rooms obviously, and our arrangement will have to stop once the kids here so she doesn't get confused and think we're together..."

"Yeah, yeah." He whispered with a nod of agreement, "It would be better for the kid if we live under the same roo- you called the baby a her, you got a gut feeling it'll be a girl?"

"There's eight of us and only two are boys. My sisters first and second babies were girls and my brother has three girls. Girls tend to run in the family more..."

Scott just gave a small nod in response to that.

"But then again I know you have very few female relatives..."

"Mm, I was going to say that."

"I guess we'll see, mm?"

Scott nodded.

"Hey Scottie?" Kira asked quietly.

"Yeah?"

"Why have we never tried 'us'?"

"I... Scared to wreck what we have now? I don't actually know..."

"What would change if we were an us?"

"What if we didn't work as an us, that's what I'm worried about, then everything would change.."

"What would be different though? Other than the no direct kissing rule dissolving along with the other rules we made like no doing activities that can be see as romantic like dinner or a movie. We work fine now."

"Mm," Scott hummed quietly in response to that.

"We could try it..."
