"Drove to mums earlier... She slammed the door in my face as soon as she saw him." Astrid whispered, voice trembling, "Then dad never answered my call when I phoned him to see if he was okay."

"Not really because she has a voice and she doesn't want to see you. That's her choice. You were going to remove the option completely for my kid." He replied with a roll of his eyes, "Go away, Kira's trying to sleep."

"Okay bossy," She teased.

Astrid just let out a deep sigh, shaking her head and mumbling. "That doesn't make it any better, Kol... If your still going drinking can I come with you? A drink sounds nice..."

"You made any friends in work?" Tamara asked quietly, "You don't talk about the people you work with too much."

Scott made a frustrated noise, opening the door and heading out. Walking to her and growling, "Go away, if you stress her out and she looses the baby I'll kill you. She needs to rest, just go away."

"Because most of them have a completely different view than me. They don't want to help people. Just for the money."

"She doesn't want to see you. Get lost." Scott replied, narrowing his eyes at her.

"She's in there sleeping and it's midday. I know she hasn't been anywhere or we would've seen it. And she hasn't been going to her midwives appointments. There's only one reason you'd let her get away with that is because she's too sick to go. You need me. She needs me."

Kol laughed.

"They don't interact with me. It doesn't bother me."

"Go away." Scott snapped before heading back inside, closing the door behind himself and walking into the livingroom. Sitting himself down beside Kira and kissing the top of her head gently, "I hate your family, officially now."

"What do they say to you?" Tamara asked with a frown.

She nodded and headed out.

"You to speak to her, to be let in. Forgiveness I assume, that rubbish that she isn't going to get." Scott mumbled, smoothing her hair down in an attempt to keep himself calm, "She's doing my head in. Won't listen to me, won't leave... Pisses me off. Want to force her to leave, with physical violence, know it's just my temper talking their though."

No. Go to the door and see her if you want to forgive her but she has no right to see you, Kira, no right at all. She's a sick idiot who took away your free will and I want to kill her." Scott growled, getting to his feet and heading upstairs to try and calm himself down. Kicking the front door violently as he walked past it in an attempt to scare Tatia away.

Astrid interlocked her fingers with his. "Is it awful that I hope Kira doesn't speak to her for months and months? Actually does hate her? Makes her cry? Just so she knows how much she's hurt me... I feel awful for hoping it, saying it.."

"You worked hard to get where you are, deserve it. They obviously aren't nice people, judging you like that when they don't even know you." Tamara replied quietly, "Though I imagine it's not nice for you to hear."

"You can open the door and look at her." Scott called back down the stairs. "She's pissing me off too much at the minute Kira for me to let her into our home."

"Maybe you should tell them to back off, tell them to stop being so childish."

Kira sighed deeply and got up, wrapping herself in the hoodie before heading to the door and opening it before sitting down in the door frame.

"Kir, I can see it already. You're ill, let me help you Kira." Tatia whispered as she sat as close as she should get.

"Maybe you need to admit you made a mistake when it came to your dad."

"And you can tell them that you overheard, because that wouldn't be a lie and they couldn't say you were lying either." Tamara replied quietly. "I think you need to address it, why let them make you feel unhappy in your dream job? You've worked just as hard as them to be where you are now."

"I didn't though. I choose the option that would mean they wouldn't kill him, I don't see how that is the wrong option Kol and you agreed with me about it being the right decision when I made it." Astrid replied with a roll of her eyes.

Scott was sat on their bed in silence.

Astrid just shook her head at his sigh. "Wow I choose the option that would mean my dad would live, I'm such an awful person aren't I." She whispered, adding with a shaky voice, "Well I clearly must be since not wanting to lose him when he made the effort to come back by himself, for not wanting anyone to die, makes my mother disown me - hate me! To despise me to the point that she looked me in the eyes and slammed the door in my face! I must be the worse person to walk the planet. I have shit parents, both of them are shit and I wish I felt nothing towards either of them so I wouldn't feel so emotionally torn and constantly hurt by them both. By dad for running off even though I choose the thing that'd let him live. By mum for acting like I don't even exist anymore." Taking a deep breath, she shook her head, muttering, "Ignore me, ignore me…been emotional lately over it for some reason. I'll just shut up about it…."

"It'll make you unhappy eventually though, them being horrible."

Tatia raced in at the invitation, gently picking Kira up and placing her on the couch again. "Kira you're feverish. You're not well, let me and your dad take you - "

"You're over reacting." Kira whispered

"No. Ness didn't get to the hospital in time and she lost Nikolai. Remember?"

Kol just sighed deeply as he listened.

"It's fine Tam."
