"No gratitude is needed, I'm simply doing my job and the gift is to reward loyalty and to impress you, m'lady." Vladomir whispered hesitantly.

Rhaenys offered him a small smile.

Vladomir returned it, though he looked away from her when he spotted Lilliana wander out of the stables from the corner of his eye. "Have you hired more staff or is this your royal guest?"

"This is the princess."

Lilliana froze when she saw them, glancing over towards them with a deep frown.

"Doesn't she look happy," Vladomir mused sarcastically.

"Princess." Rhaenys bowed in greeting. "May I introduce Vladomir, he is the local horse breeder. His horses are among the finest you'll ever see in your life."

Vladomir smiled a little bit and bowed in greeting, "Lady Dayne gives me far too much credit," he laughed gently, glancing to her from the corner of his eye with a grateful expression.

Lilliana just nodded subtly, whispering, "It's a pleasure to meet you," before looking to Rhaenys, "I was just appreciating your horses."

"They're very beautiful mm? Our hand takes care of them well."

"They must be beautiful to ride," Lilliana agreed quietly, adding, "I never saw your hand in there."

"He's visiting his son in another valley, he's due home any time soon depending on the weather and flow of traffic from the area."

Lilliana just gave a small nod in response to that, "I'd like to meet him when he arrives, compliment him on his quality of work. Find out his secrets for my own horses."

"I'll direct him to you when he returns."

"Thank you," Lilliana replied quietly. "Actually, no.. No don't, just inform me when he's returned, please."
