"Bye dad." Adam sighed. "You're being impossible, talk to me when you finally agree to compromise, hm?" he mumbled quietly before turning and heading down the stairs.

Klaus was sat on a bench in the park, having agreed to watch Lloyd for a few hours for Mica. Bouncing Lloyd up and down on his knee as he text Vanessa; Do you have the phone number of the guy that stole your money? And the name? We could track his phone.

Apparently it wasn't his real name, the name he provided along with the address belongs to a dead guy whos identity he stole. He must be a vampire after all, since he withdrew over a million in cash straight from the bank, they can't explain why he was allowed to do it so he must've compelled them to do it, no card used, no trace left. I'm screwed dad. Screwed. And Leon keeps phoning me and I have to put him off with texts because I can't face telling him.

"I'd recognise your face anywhere Niklaus... it matches some of mine... but you do look an awful lot like my father." Ansel whispered as he approached Klaus.

"Don't make me compel you Adam..."

You need to tell him. Try and find out the guys name, as soon as we have that then we're getting somewhere. What did he look like, Ness? You must know some things for sure that'll help. Klaus text back, tensing at Ansel's voice and lifting his head up. Narrowing his eyes a little bit when he saw him and whispering a simple; "No. No, it isn't him. Stop with the tricks, don't even begin! Witches haven't tried anything like this in decades!"

"You do that, I'll shift and bite you." Adam hissed in response to that, "Rip your head off maybe, I wouldn't know, I wouldn't have control."

((It would be unbelievably cute/but also angsty if Adam was strong enough to resist the compulsion because he loved Ollie, but obviously it'd hurt Kol's side with him))

"No, no. No you're not, it's a trick." Klaus hissed. "I looked you in the eye as you died, when Mikael killed you. This is merely a trick, a spell. Dark magic."

Kol just pulled him closer and whispered thickly as he compelled his son. "You don't want to return to Olivia. You don't love her, only your children. She is not your family like we are, only your children matter, she doesn't... you wont remember I compelled you to feel like this, you'll only think it's for the best if you leave her and challenge her for custody of your baby when it's born. It's for the best..."

"Magic, yes. Of what kind I do not know, but I cannot deny it is dark due to that very fact; I do not know why or how I am here Niklaus, my son... my son. But I am here. I am here for you, to be the father you never had."

Klaus got to his feet then, shaking his head and mumbling quietly, "I need to get Lloyd back to Mica.... Follow and I'll try and figure out if this is real or not. I don't believe it is." he hissed.

Adam was silent for a few moments before shoving his father away from him roughly, physically flinching as he fought the compulsion before hissing, "No dad. I love her, love her more than your stupid all mighty compulsion. Just because your who you are doesn't mean you need to get everything the way you want it! You're a controlling idiot! I'm sorry that you can't accept the fact that I'm happy. Bye." he muttered.

Astrid frowned deeply as she watched.

"You're the one that is forcing me to choose, remember that," Adam sighed before turning and heading out and closing the door behind himself a few minutes later.

Astrid just swallowed thickly, "Kol...." she whispered gently. "Go after him, agree to the compromise, come on. Come on...."

Niamh glanced over her shoulder to watch Klaus leave the room, a moment later looking to Ansel with a deep frown.

Mica buried her face in his shoulder, sobs subsiding after a few minutes.
