Us and Them

He shrugged. "Because you told me that you've never been around this part of the world so I intend for you to have the best day ever."

Jaylin smiled up at him. "Thank you..." She kissed his cheek. "Can we start at the bakery then?"

He kissed her back. "We will." He brought her into the bakery.

She was happy about that squeezing his fingers. "Would eating something make you sick?"

"No, ivs got mores opera cents human foodie, it's Esmerelda who gets sick from food."

She smiled brightly. "Then you can share something with me, even if it's only a bite?"

"If you're willing to share."

"With you I am." She smiled at him.

He smiled. "Alright then."

She nodded looking around the bakery.

He watched her.

"Do you know what those chocolate things were Gavin had gotten that time? The ones that Lucy really liked?"

"Chocolate and peanut butter." He told her, gently turning her to where they were in the shop.

She nodded her head moving with him. "One for us and one to bring back for Lucy?"

He nodded. "Sounds fair."

Jaylin smiled brightly squeezing his fingers and quietly telling the lady behind the counter what she wanted.

The lady smiled and got her her order, before Hunter handed over the money to her as she gave the chocolates over to jaylin and they were cutely wrapped.

She thanked her happily accepting the package.

The lady wished them a good day.

She smiled and waved followed Hunter outside.

Hunter headed outside with her.

Jaylin found a small bench and sat down opening up one of the small desserts and holding it out to him.

He took a small bite from it.

She giggled taking a small bite herself.

He smiled bak.
