Us and Them

"If that's what you want." He told her playfully.

She shrugged her shoulders.

He smiled slightly.

She smiled back at him.

He smiled.

Jaylin smiled back rubbing her thumb against his hand as they continued to walk.

He rubbed his thumb against her hand as well.

She laughed softly glancing at him.

He glanced at her.

She smiled. "You know I've never been this happy before...it's really very nice."

"It is isn't it." He smiled.

She nodded. "Yes."

He smiled. "When Es and I last came here, it was nothing like this."

She tilted her head at him silently asking to him to explain with only a look.

"Well, it was the 16th Century." He told her. "Most of these buildings didn't exist, and those that did, were smaller, not as strongly built."

She smiled at him. "Times change. Was it very different at that time?"

"More horses pulling carts, less people." He shrugged.

She laughed at this answer.

He smiled at her laugh.

She smiled at him happily.

He smiled bakc just as happily.

Jaylin swung their hands back as forth as the walked.

He repeated her action.

She giggled looking over at him.

He smiled looking at her.
