She kissed the side of his head. "You tell me that just after I manage to stem the bleeding?" She asked him in mock annoyance trying to at least keep his spirits up.

He looked at her then he noticed a guard behind her, opening the cell door and he put himself between her and the guard as he dragged open the door to the cell.

"What're you doing?"

He didn't respond then, body going limp against her as he lost conciousness.

"Come on Killian, you've already been given a serious beating, surely you have nothing left." The guard told him in a patronising tone. "Just let her come with us and you won't get the shit kicked out of you again."

"You know, I'm going to enjoy beating the shit out of you when I'm out of here." Killian promised the guard.

Amora pulled the sword out quickly, using her overcoat to stem the bleeding.

Maria sighed, sliding her arms around him from behind and kissing his ear gently, "Easy you, it's okay, I'll be back next week. Just try and stay out of trouble, I'll get you out eventually."

Killian kissed her gently, before he watched her go. "Seven days." He told her, watching her go.

"Actually ma'am, he won't be getting out, the governor has arranged a hanging for 6 weeks time." The guard told her when they were away from Killian's cell and near the exit to the prison. "You can't save him, he's going to hells door for his crimes."

"No, I was contesting it; a judge was going to hear me out."

"It's too late ma'am." The guard told her. "Make the next few weeks count for him, he's beyond your help now."

Somehow, what remained of the crew managed to sail the ship to a nearby town, and it turned out to be where Amora and Killian grew up, and Amora watched as Luke was taken away by a healer before blood loss took her into unconsciousness too.

A week later, Killian was still in his cell, now sporting some ruggedy stubble as he wandered around his cell, before he leant against the window that looked out at the ocean, almost like it was taunting him.

A week later, Amora was up and sitting in a chair beside Luke's bed in the healer's quarters, she hadn't left his side apart from cleaning herself up and get a new outfit by the healer, an off shoulder white blouse, black leather pants, a red tie belt and some black boots.

Maria walked inside, flinching at the noise when the guard slammed the door behind her. Walking over to his side and following his gaze.

Luke's fingertips twitched as he began to stir, his first movement in the entire week.

Killian didn't seem to notice she was there, just holding his stump of a left hand as he watched the ocean.

Amora saw the movement and she dared to look hopeful at him. "Luke?" She whispered.

Maria sighed softly, offering her arms out and humming, "Come here you, let me hold you today?"

Luke blinked his eyes open with a small noise of discomfort after a few minutes.

He sighed, but it wasn't in annoyance, it was in longing as he watched the waves crash on the rocks nearby one more time before he walked to her.

"Hey sunshine." She told him with a soft smile.

"i'm sorry," She whispered as she wrapped her arms around him, resting her head on top of his.

"Hi..."

"What are you sorry for?" He asked her.

"You've been out for a week." She told him. "But the healer said that you're going to be fine, you just need bed rest for the next few days, maybe another weak."

"Don't do bedrest.... Where are we?"

"I... The judge changed his mind about hearing me out." Maria whispered, swallowing thickly.

"Back where Killian and I grew up, it was the first place we found."

"I know, James came in and told me the night of the last time you came to see me." Killian told her.

"I'm planning though, I'm... trying to find a way. Got five weeks from today... that's plenty of time to work something out."

"Mm," Luke hummed, closing his eyes.

Killian sighed. "Maria, maybe it's for the best."

"Go on, get some rest, you're going to need it."

"Come join me?"

She nodded and joined him.

Killian sighed. "Send the raven to my sister." He told her.

"What're you talking about?"

Luke kept his eyes closed.

"Remember the raven that kept following me around before I was put in here?" He asked. "It's like a homing pidgeon, send a note or something with the raven to find Amora. If she can get her quickly enough, she might be able to give you some ideas."

She stayed close to him, resting her head against his shoulder.

"No, I can do this myself."

"Fine." He sighed, looking up at the ceiling. "I'm not entirely surprised to be honest, I've seen many pirates hang, I knew I wasn't going to be any different."
