Across Seas - Remade

The men watched him as he picked her up and they realised that he had no choice but to let them go for now.

Luke pushed his way through them, heading back towards the boat.

She kept her arms around his neck to keep herself balanced in his arms.

"Talk to me.. Are you ok?"

She nodded. "It doesn't hurt that bad." She told him and she used the side of the ship for balance when he put her down. "Might have some broken ribs though."

"Don't lie to me, we all know broken ribs hurt."

"If I'm honest that's the only thing that hurts." She told him, a hand going to her side.

He shook his head, picking her up once again and carrying her to her quaters.

She slid her arms around his neck when he picked her up and she rested her head just under his shoulder.

He sat with her quietly.

She meant into him.

Viggo had been at his house, his brother was in early for work and he was stood on the edge of the land looking out over the salt lake. He and his brother had given Naia the last spare room for her use whenever she needed it.

Naia was in tthe lake, top half of her body leaning out of the water as she studied Viggo quietly. "Come swim with me?" she whispered.

"Won't your friends try and kill me?" He asked as he knelt in the ground beside her.

"I gave you the flower, you're safe."

"Yeah and why did you do that?"

"To stop them trying to kill you, silly."

"But why do you not want me to die?" He asked her playfully. "Could you possibly love a human?" He continued playfully. The topic almost made him laugh after all she was a siren, a beautiful siren, but a siren none the less, she couldn't love him, a lowly pirate?

"Perhaps I do.... Come swim with me?"

He smiled. "Yeah sure."
