Reuniting Tornedalians

"If you insisted," she laughed.

He kissed her head before he helped him mum to make breakfast.

She sat down at the table watching him.

Marie smiled glancing at him. "When did this happen?"

"When did what happen?" He asked her.

Elijah looked at her. "How is life as a vampire so far?"

"You know what Christian. When did you turn her?" She asked quietly.

"Good. Overwhelming sometimes."

Elijah smiled. "Most of us find it overwhelming, sometimes Caleb and I do." He told her. "Meditation helps to maintain the balance."

Christian looked at her. "First night, we made love and well, my fangs got pretty involved."

Marie smiled kissing his forehead. "Then she's yours now, take care of her like you're supposed to."

She nodded. "I've been handling it alright so far."

Elijah nodded. "I've noticed." He told her. "But seriously, give it a try next time it feels like it's overwhelming."

Christian glanced back over at Michelle and he nodded. "She is." He smiled slightly at the thought. "I will mum."

She nodded. "I will."

Marie smiled at her son leaning over to kiss his forehead. "I know you will."

Elijah smiled slightly, going back to reading the paper.

"We have an invite." Caleb told them as he came in with Eric and Angel from the back.

"Off who?" Elijah asked.

"Your good friend the Elder."

Christian smiled and he looked over at his uncle when he came in.

Marie turned to face Caleb when they all came in. "And whom all does this invite extend to and what is it for?"

Michelle looked to Christian right away.

Caleb shrugged. "It only has Elijah's name on it, apparently he is the 'alpha' of the family." He handed the invitation to his brother who made a face of almost disgust before he opened it.

"It says all of us, so the kids included." Elijah told her. "To celebrate the blood moon."

Christian put her breakfast in front of her as he sat next to her, looking at his father. "The blood moon starts tonight."

Michelle walked over resting her hands on her husband's shoulder. "Alright. Are we going? If we are I suggest someone explains to the newest member of our family, just what that is."

She smiled at him eating her breakfast.

Elijah leant back into her. "Unless she already knows." He told her, looking over to Michelle and Christian. "Do you know what a blood moon is?"

Christian smiled at her, looking from his father to her.

She finished chewing and swallowed. "I know the Astronomy meaning but I'm assuming it's something more special than that?"

She gently rubbed his shoulders.

"Just a bit." Caleb laughed.

Elijah gave his brother a look that shut him up and he looked at her. "To human yes the Blood Moon has no more meaning than it does in Astrology." He told her. "To people of the supernatural, Vampires, Werewolves, Witches, the rest, it is completely different."

"The Blood Moon signified a week of Vampire being able to hunt without being killed, Werewolves a chance to turn humans without being hunted and witches a chance to use magic knowingly." Christian told her. "My dad, Uncle and I have been part of the Blood Moon celebrations once or twice in my lifetime, but it's lost it's appeal."

"We will still go, just to show our faces." Elijah told them. "But we don't usually take part in the mass genocide that coexists with it."

That was a bit to take in but nothing compared to everything else new to her lately. Michelle nodded her head as she ate, listening to everything that was being said.

"Before we go anywhere do anyone need to go feed first?" Marie looked at them all

"We will." Elijah told her. "Christian? Michelle?"

"Laura and Alexander will be going."

Michelle was happy with the food she was eating but when her name was mentioned she looked at Christian in question, her eyes darkening a tad.

Laura came down from upstairs with Alexander. "What's this about me?"

"We can go hunting once you've finished." Christian told her.

"She's going to fit right in." Elijah told them as he looked at Laura. "We need to know who's hunted." He slid the letter over to her.

She nodded once turning her attention back onto her breakfast, her human/shifter side enjoying the food.

Laura took the meter from him skimming it over. "I need to take Alexander than."

Caleb walked round to her sliding his arms around her. "Mhmm, but you can go after I get my morning kiss."

"Are you neglecting him Auntie Laura?" Angel asked making the others laugh.

Christian kissed the top of her head.

Laura laughed softly kissing him slowly and sweetly as she slid her arms around him pressing her forehead to his after pulling away whisper a quiet, "Which is this...your fourth or fifth morning kiss now?" She was teasing of course but smiled at her niece. "Your uncle here is anything but neglected."

She smiled warmly slipping one of her hands into his.

He gently kissed her hand.

"A man can never have enough of a wife as beautiful as you." He told her sliding his arms around but her waist.

She laughed softly. "Mmm, aren't you just a sweet talker still."

Michelle smiled up at him.
