He stopped her and pulled her to him, pressing a fleeting kiss to her lips before he let her go.

Hasley inhaled sharply, caught off guard by it. Staring at hin for a couple of moments before whispering, "Goodnight," and walking away.

A week later, the whole village was crowded in the great hall for Astrid and Thora's birthday. Astrid and her sister were both dressed like typical Viking women, no armour, wearing decorated dresses and both of them hair their hair down with flowers woven in their hair. They were dancing together.

Ragnar and Mikael were watching them from where they sat with the chieftain.

"I done well on those gowns, hm?" Freya hummed, her elbows resting against Ragnar's shoulders as she stood behind his chair.

Hasley was doing ahat she normally done at gatherings, she was topping up the mead; though this time making an extra effort to talk to people and go out of her way; desperate for extra money and work.

Cedric was sat with Eadgar, drinking; trying not to watch Astrid too much.

"Oh just watch her for Lord's sake." Eadgar told him. "No one will notice."

Ragnar smiled. "You did."

The chief looked to the brothers. "I have a proposition for you both." He told them.

Mikael looked to him, curious but also wary.

"You don't know that, there are eyes everywhere." Cedric chuckled. "We need to find you someone so you stop bein so obsessed with my love life. What do you like; women? Men? Astrid's sheep?"

Freya frowned, whispering, "This sounds like a private conversation. Come and dance with me later?" she asked Ragnar, kissing his cheek before heading down to where Astrid and Thora danced.

(( Should the guy he is setting her up with be there or should she be meeting him the next day? To drag it out a bit ))

He nodded and watched her go before he gave the chief his whole attention.

He laughed. "Women of course."

"Are you certain?" He smirked "It is God's place to judge, not mine."

"There we are then.. So, does anyone catch your eye?"

"Not really." He told him. "At least not yet."

"Mm, well, you spot someone let me know. I'll wingman."

He smiled. "I will keep that in mind."

Cedric nodded, looking back over at Astrid.

Freya turned around on the dance area to face Ragnar, checking to see if the conversation was finished.

Ragnar was alone talking to Mikael.

The chief had gone outside, looking for the person that he had told the brothers about.

Astrid was happily dancing with her sister.

Freya frowned, quietly approaching the brothers and sitting herself down on Ragnar's lap. Partly to listen in to what was going on, but mostly to mark her territory as woman kept looking over at him.

Outside the Chieftan of the other village, Floki, stood patiently, his arms crossed over his chest.

He kissed her cheek when she sat with him, they were talking about the chief marrying one of their sisters off.

"If he chooses Thora she might just kill him." Mikael. Sighed.

"I'm glad you could come." the chief tools him. As he walked over.

"I wouldn't pass up the oppurtunity to meet my new bride," Floki smirked. "All in the name of peace, correct? So tell me, which daughter gets the honour or is the choice mine?"

"Chooses who for what?" Freya frowned.

"The choice is yours." He tomd her. "I've spoken to the brothers they shouldn't give you any trouble." He nodded into the party where Astrid and Thora were still dancing. "The blonde is called Astrid, the read head is Thora."

"The chief wants to marry one of our sisters to a neighbouring tribe, as he himself doesn't have daughters it's in the act of peace."

"What if they don't wish to marry him?"

"I will go in and celebrate with them, be unsuspecting and then make my judgment." Floki decided before heading inside.

He nodded. "Then lose your chief robes, Astrid might be oblivious by Thora isn't."
