"Hey, Aly, right?" Max hummed as he sat himself down beside her.

"Yeah?" She asked turning to look at him.

"Im not sure, she's just very touchy about this whole situation surrounding him."

"If you don't know why then ask her, you won't understand unless you ask."

"I have had the most insane day, but, long story short it means I am new around here. My name is Max, hi."

Aly smiled. "I'M Aly, it's nice to meet you Max." She smiled and patted the space next to her.

"That's what I planned to. Do, if Faun hasn't ripped her apart." He told him. "And on that note I'd best head back."

He hesitated before taking the gun off of his shoulder and sitting himself down beside hee more comfortably.

"You need to remind Faun the importance of being gentle, no one can process anything with someone asking them why they even have to process it." Noah whispered. "Good luck."

"This time faun isn't in the wrong." He reminded him as he walked away.

She smiled at him. "So, hunter where are you from?"

""Sometimes things are about more than who is wrong or right, Koby, remember that." Nkah called after him.

"Here, apparantly." He chuckled

"You look like Koby." She told him.

Koby headed back to his and Peytons den.

Peyton was curled up right in a ball on the sofa, watching the floor. Eyes bloodshot from where she had been crying.

Faun was sat in the corner, the Dna results in front of her.

She nodded.

Peyton remained where she was, not even looking up when Koby walked in; emotionally exhausted.

"Is that a good thing?"

"Alright you two, time to start talking properly."

She nodded.

"No. I've had enough fighting for one day. I'm going for a walk," Peyton mumbled tiredly, getting to her feet and leaving.

"Ah, good then. I suppose."

Koby followed her as Faun headed home.

She smiled. "So, how are you doing?"

Peyton walked in silence, not bothered that he was following. Putting her hands in her pockets.

"I've been better, I've also been worse. I am terrible at small talk though so, lets start with the juicy stuff; what do you want to do with your life?"

"Talk to me."

She smiled. "I don't know really, be a beta."

"Not an alpha? Or something unrelated to wolves?"

"I don't have anything to say, I don't want to fight."

"Nah, Abigail is going to be the alpha." She told him.

"This isn't going to be a fight this is a discussion."

"What is there to discuss? I was wrong; I fell for some random baby body being handed to me and belkeved them when they said it was him and because of that we grieved for nothing, we missed out on raising our son and he probably has who knows what issues and now he might not even chose us! There isnt anything to discuss, Faun has already rubbed it in my face enough Koby. Nothing to discuss, nothing to say."

"What about outside the pack? Its a huge world. You could change it if you wanted."

"Faun wanted you to know he was alive, doesn't that prove anything to you about our daughter?" He asked. "And he's here now, you're the one missing out when he came here. With Faun to meet us."

"Yeah I could, but at the moment I'm happy being here with my family, maybe one day I will travel and see the world."

"Let me miss out then, I deserve to! Go away... Be happy with your two children."

Koby suddenly forced her to stop and he even backed her against a tree. "Now listen, this is going to be hard for you to hear but get a grip, whilst you and our daughter were arguing I got to know a bit about him. And he is just like you. Yes you missed out, yes you and Faun don't get a long but you need to go to him and make a bridge before you lose him like you lost faun. "

Peyton's fangs bared in threat as she was backed against the tree, an instinctual reaction rather than a concious one. "I was going to go to him, I was just having a walk first to clear my head after our daughter reminded me of all the reasons I hate myself. If I have lost Faun what the hell am I doing near her damn wolves?! If I have lost her why do I keep telling her I love her after she torments me day after day, because she does, she is perfect to you Koby but she torments me! I don't want him to be anything like me, it isn't a good thing if he is like me; have you seen me?! Do you know me?! No one ever has anything good to say about me, what is good about me? Tell me that... Why do you love me?!"

"Because I love you, I loved you for years, because despite your self pity and self loathing you are an amazing wonderful woman, who thinks everyone hates her when the truth is your projecting because you hate yourself." He told her. "I am sick of being in the middle of yours and Faun's showdowns, Faun brought you the best news anyone could, that our little boy is alive and you bit her head off the minute she showed you the best proof anyone could give, Faun reacts the way she does because of you, she loves you and your her mum but you need to start listening to her instead of drowning her out." He told her. "You want to go for a walk then go, but when you come home, I won't be the middle between you and Faun and I will be getting to know our son."
