"Why do you always go like this?" She asked him. "All because I don't agree with you you make it sound bad."

"No, I don't but no one ever agrees with me when it comes to pack things. For once trust me when I tell you it is a bad idea instead of being so damp argumentative. You don't know this guy, I dont care if you feel sorry for him, get over it - he can be anyone, could be a hunter; it could be a ploy."

"Can I at least point out that you don't either." She told him.

"No, you can't because it is a lie and when I do disagree I dont always argue about it the way you and Abigail do with me. Though, this pack hates it when you have another opinon - after what Abi done to my mother that is clear, so I best shut my mouth before I get exiled too."

"Don't bring this up again, your mother was her own worst enemy." She told him. "But you don't know him either."

"I can bring it up as much as I like," Max answered sharply. "This pack isn't my family, family don't make you worry that you'll say the wrong thing and get cast out. My family was Chris and Jeni. I can bring up all of it as much as I like. As I said, do what you want, bring the stranger in - none of you ever care about what I think anyway thats why I make sure I keep my apartment where I'm going now. Done with this."

"And the pack don't talk about it because you end up doing this." SHe told him. "You can't just walk away from everything Max."

"I never walk away from anything that's important. It just turns out that fighting with you isn't important - I'm going. Check on Jeni and Oliver on my way through, was Chris' today so.."

"Yeah turns it out it's not just fighting." She told him. "Like you'll care, but I'll be at home." SHe told him and she headed off into the forest towards the pack.

"Oh get the hell over yourself," Max muttered, walking in the other direction.

Jeni had moved into a little den on the outskirts of the pack, she used it during the week and the house at weekends, the den was to keep herself occupied and so that her son could learn about his werewolf side and she could help Abi.

Max only bothered to check the house, and when she wasn't there he moved on to his own apartment. Locking himself inside.

"What are you looking so angry about?" Harrison mused when he spotted Abi.

"Max is just impossible, it's his way por the high way." SHe told him. "And when I told him that he can't just walk away, he said that he walks away when it's not important, but it's not just the arguments that he walks away from." Aly told him. "He's my world Harrison, but he doesn't appear to feel the same about me." She sighed.

Jeni texted Max to ask if he was alright.

"Of course he feels the same about you, don't be silly. You fight, people fight sometimes and he has been defensive and down all week - that's grief. You remember how hurt you were when Noah died. I get it though, its hard."

"Wanna come over and talk about it?"

"He doesn't show it." She sighed. "Sorry, I shouldn't be complaining about all of this to you, you and Faun don't need pack troubles anymore."

"This isn't pack trouble, it's fine." Harrison whispered, "He shows it, you just get used to all the small things sometimes that you want grand gestures occasionally which is fine but... that hunter was his constant, more like a dad to him. You lost yours, and you had melt downs at everyone whilst you were grieving, he is just doing the same."
