The Secrets of Llawnech

Emily got to her feet, "How did your day pan out - busy?"

"Goodnight,"

"Not really," He told her about the dining room. "Don;t worry, I didn't mention you."

"Goodnight." Sh smiled as she headed up to bed.

"Thank you," Emily hummed with a smile. "Apparantly planting too many flowers is controversial, I don't understand what the big deal is though. It isn't like those seeds would last a whole year, they would be wasted if not planted. I am glad they liked your food."

He nodded. "No worries."

"So, the Palace grounds at night is the best part of living here. No one is ever around, and all of the lights make it beautiful but my favourite place is away from the lights, just on the edge of the property. You can see - well, you'll see.. do you mind getting a bit wet?"

"No I'm fine with that."

"Good - it will be so worth it." She grinned. "Where did you live before you came here?"

"I was born in the village, lived there pretty much all of my life."

"Oh, the village is so idyllic I would love to live there."

"Maybe you could one day, it's nice."

"Oh, maybe. I don't think I would ever be able to afford something like that though, most of the benefits of working here for me is the roof over my head."

"Fair enough."

"Yeah," Emily answered quietly

The next morning, Sophia was helping Alicia and Gwen get ready and tidying up their rooms as she went.

"When is your nxt day off?"

"Oh, uh, I never really....get those. Flowers are a constant job, something always needs watering or weeding." She shrugged. "What about you?"

"I don't think this colour quite suits me," Gwen frowned, looking in the mirror at herself.

"We still have the red and the blue to work with uour highness."

Alicia looked to her sister. "You know if you don't want to stand out, you need to dress plain and simple right?"

"Same really."

"Isn't there a way I can fit in and still look good though?"

"Its worth it for what we do, hm?"

"Not if you want to blend in." She told her.

He nodded. "Yeah I guess it is."

"I want him to like me," Gwen whispered with a frown.

"Like... art."

"And he will if you put yourself in his world for once."

He nodded.

"What do you mean; in his world?"

Emily quietly led him through a side path away from the gardens, taking off her shoes so she could walk through a small stream

"Well he's not rich is he." Alicia told her. "He works in your world every day, he sees wealth everyday, it's time you see what it's like to be poor."

He watched her and he soon copied and joined her.

She exhaled slowly and nodded subtly in understanding. "Ok, ok. Dress me how you must."

Emily followed the water downstream, ducking beneath branches and stepping over nettles.

Sophia nodded and she managed to dress her in clothes that weren't too fancy or too plain just the right amount.

He followed her.

"I suppose I don't look too hideous."

Eventually the stream would of brought them to a field covered in dark blue and purple wild flowers - where the only thing that lit them up and made them glow were the stars above them - the milky way visible.
