The Secrets of Llawnech

"Well I think your papa is stupid and does not understand female fashion at all." Alicia told her as she unclipped the tiara from her hair. "All princesses be them young and old must have a tiara." She gestured foor her to come over. "It is Princess Law."

Rose hesitantly made her way over to.

Gwen watched with a smile before getting to her feet and climbing along the side of the carriage to join Hayden in the driving seat. "Hi,"

When she was next to her, Alicia fitted the tiara into her hair. "There you go."

"I don't know," Rose frowned. "What if I get caught?"

"Papa has eyes everywhere."

"Mm, just trying to work you out... how your feeling, I mean."

"Not in this carriage or my palace he doesn't little one." She promised her.

"I don't even know how I feel." He told her in honesty. "How am I supposed to relate to her? What if she finds out who I am and she hates me?"

"She is a little girl, she doesn't know how to feel hate - she hasn't learned that awful emotion yet." Gwen whispered, moving closer to him and resting her head against his shoulder. "We are going to tell her who you are when we get home, and she is going to love you. All you have to do is be you."

"Where is he?"

She looked at Aiden. "Is this one of the newer ones? Can we ride him?"

"He's away for a while." She told her.

Hayden nodded.

"Mm, he is brand new - only arrived this morning." Aiden confirmed quietly. "I don't know yet about riding, I havent tried yet."

"I know your nervous, just, try to trust me - okay? And uh, I'm sorry if I was too much back there, telling you and Alicia about it. Didn't mean to make either of you uncomfortable."

"No, it's not, your mother is better at explaining things that I am."

Gwen just nodded, closing her eyes and humming, "He is still really fast, hm?"

"Is she. I - I don't know much about her." Rose mused

She nodded. "Would you like me to tell you some stories?"

"Less nodding and lying, more laughing, my love." Gwen encouraged softly, "I miss your laugh."

He smiled softly. "Not been a lot to laugh about lately." He told her.

Alicia patted the seat next to her and she started to tell her stories about when she and Gwen were younger.

Rose sat down and listened intently

"Mm, I know what will cheer you up. Pass me the reigns, let me give this a go." Gwen grinned.

He raised an eyebrow a s be handed her the reigns.

By the time Alicia finished her stories it was getting late.

Gwen grinned, taking them from him and attempting to encourage the stallion faster. Though her technique was completely off, having never driven before.

Rose had fallen asleep against her near the end of the last story, exhausted.

Hayden laughed. "Typical princess can't drive a carriage." He told her ayfully.

Alicia had pued her coat over her and she too had fallen asleep.

Gwen laughed when she heard his, shortening the reigns and making the stallion move faster. "I do my best."

Hayden smiled and he slid his hands over hers and he guided her in how to steer, slow the horse down and speed up.

Gwen leant her head back to look up at him with a warm smile. "I got it," She eventually confirmed, after about thirty minutes of guidance, "You go in the carriage, get some sleep. I can do this for a bit, you deserve sleep."

"Nah its fine, I'm going to find us an in for the night."

"Mm, okay, hopefully there is one nearby."
