"Her and my dad fell in love - her and princess, he the guard. She got forced into becoming engaged to King Jasper to unite the kingdoms so my mother and father ran away, lived humble lives together, got married. Until King Jasper showed up, kidnapped her, told my dad she was dead so he wouldn't come looking for her and that was that... for a while. She is slowly starting to tell me the things he done to her, to keep her quiet and submissive but I dont think she'll ever tell me it all."
