The next day...

Rose was in her room as maids helped her get dressed, and helped do her hair. Silently excited to see Marcus again today, though she would never admit it.

Emma was still laying beside Jackson, wrapped up with him and the covers. Her eyes closed as her head rested on his chest.

Marcus was getting himself dressed in the rooms that the King and Queen had allowed him. To use, his parents were going back to Ireland today with his brother he was staying, he hadn't told Rose wanting it to be some form of surprise.

He gently brushed a hand down her arm as he held her to him and he watched the ceiling.

Rose thanked the maids once she was ready before leaving the room and walking to the hall for breakfast.

"I'm not keeping you from work am I?" Emma hummed sleepily.

Eventually she would have passed the window where Marcus was stood with his family helping his mother into the carriage that brought her.

"No, not right now."

Rose paused at the window, frowning when she spotted them packing things into the carriage and quickly assuming he was going with them. Shaking her head and continuing to the hall, sitting herself down at the table.

"When do you start?"

Hayden was already at the table reading some documents for his job. "Good morning my princess."

"In about an hour but I will have to show myself for breakfast before that."

"Morning... did mum go back to the cottage last night or did you both stay here?"

Emma just sighed at that.

"She stayed here, she's gone to find your brother."

He leant down and kissed her lips. "Doesnt mean I can spend time with you in the process"

"Ah, I bet you money he is with Emma." Rose hummed.

"Mm, you could but you should be getting ready."

"Probably."

"I should be yes but I'm. Tired and enjoying some time."

"Your tired? I wore you out?" Emma smirked.

"They are all leaving today then.. the guests." Rose mused after a few minutes.

((sorry went shopping for the christmas turkey))

He smiled softly. "Well you were an insatiab;e little minx."

"Yes I believe so."

Emma laughed at that, eventually sitting herself up and pulling her dress on.

He watched her before he too got dressed.

Hayden took a drink.

Marcus silently walked in and he gently walked behind her. "Hey you."

(( And there are so many options for who could have it. Hayden being half blind major factor, coupled with his horse being old. Rose and her horse being pretty new to dressage would be a big risk factor. Marcus and racing in general - maybe a rival racer and that would bring Rose and him together even more than they are naturally clicking anyway )))

Rose jumped at the sound of his voice, glancing over her shoulder at him with wide eyes. "Wait... I thought you were leaving? I saw you and you family packing the carriage."

"Make sure to talk to your mother today, okay? Like we spoke about."

"Yeah, the king asked me to stay for a bit longer to be an irish consolate."

(( I really like the idea of the Marcus one, but I also feel we haven't played on Hayden's eye sight enough so maybe we can think of something else for that? ))

"Oh... how - how long are you here for?"

"I will go and do that now - by the time you see her my conversation with her will be had."

"A few months." He told her.

He nodded as he got dressed. "Are you jus going to leave me here wihout a kiss?" He asked her playfully.

Emma rolled her eyes, kissing his cheek before heading out.

He caught her waist before she could go too far away and he kissed her lips quickly and fleetingly before he let her go.
