"I am not running away, she could of supported me and she didn't! Thats why I left last night, what is your problem? Why are you on her side? Why am I fighting for validation when it should be her doing that?!"

"What should be important is that she is trying now right? She asked. "And because I'm your big sister and I want you to be happy." She told him. "And as much as you probably do not want to admit it, you need your wife."

"Oh no, I need her. I know I need her, but I need her in private not in front of my whole family where she can just score points about how amazing she is."

"Then why are you walking deeper into the forest and not going home?" She asked. "You know she's at home, so go and be with her."

"So she can fight with me about thinks I dont care about anymore like she did last night? No thanks." Max mumbled.

"You don't know that's what is going to happen." She told him. "Take it from someone who has been here Max, the best thing you could do is go home and spend time with her."

"I do know because that it what happened last night, Faun! Why do I have to fight with you, why can't you just believe me?"

"I believe you Max, but last night was last night,today is a new day."

"No. No it isn't - last night wasn't something minor, Faun."

"from what you've told. Me I know that, but it won't get sorted until you go home. And let her apologise." She told him. "Because right now there are two option, you go home and this gets resolved or starts to at least or you give Bakc your wedding ring." She told him. "You need to sort this Max, for Connor."

"For a child she won't let me get to know?"

"She will and you know she will." She told him. "I wa slime her too at one point, it was just me and Abi for so long, I almost couldn't bear anyone else. To hold her not even her father or our father, but slowly I managed it, Harrison was patient."

"Harrison wasN't dealing with the death of a brother and nightmares of cages and vrowds and fights. I could be patient too if that is all it was but it is not and she is stuck in her own world with no concept of what I am going through and when I tell her all she does it give me ultimatums or completely ignored the issue! If you are on her side then go to her, Faun. No one is on my side other than Chris. No one has been nice with no damn conditions other than Chris, everyone loves the perfect Alyssa. As if I havent been loyal to her all these years and put up with her mood swings without complaint."

"And now so are you, you're the one arguing Max, you said that you need her but your being stubborn with yourself." She told him. "I'm not on anyone's side Max, I don't take sides and you're blinded right now your family love you with no conditions and I am. Hurt that you think so little of me and our family."

"You don't take sides then stop talking about her! Ask about me, not her. I want nothing to do with her right now!"

"Then take. Off your damn wedding ring because a husband and wife team.always care." She told him. "Max, you know I love you and I care about you deeply, you and are all we have out here, what else is going through your mind?" @

"My life is falling about and my brother is dead when I swore to protect him and my wife would rather scream at me then hug me unless we are in public because if she were mean to me in public then you would take me seriously and she knows that. Oh, and let's not forget the fact Chris and Jeni had an argument because of me too so I dont even know if I can go back there because I might ruin them. There is no safe place anymore."

"You know where your safe place is, where it always has been." She told him. "I always take you seriously so knock that one on the head." She told him.

"Aly's den is not my home right now, so don't tell me to go home." Max mumbled.

"No my den you silly person." She told him. "Come on." She held a hand out for him.

Max just exhaled shakily in relief, taking her hand.

She held his hand and pulled him back towards her place getting Harrison on the way.

Max followed.

She brought him home. And sat him on the sofa.

Max sat down in silence.
