Marlowe nodded, "Dessert and another drink in the room, yes. I can slip out of this dress then." she grinned.

"I'm sure we could build her a pond at some point that we can throw a few ducks on, once she is old enough to clean it out of course." Louis chuckled.

Tesni touched her forehead to his.

"Well you look like you've been hit by a literal bus. What the fuck, Arch. I've seen the other guy too, before you start that cocky stuff - your ass was kicked, I'm disappointed." Scarlett tutted as she walked into the room and approached his bedside.

"See, he is fine." Asher hissed towards his mother. "Are you going to stop being a bitch now?"

“Now that I’m looking forward to.” Altair grinned, getting up and throwing a tip on the table from his wallet before heading up to the room.

“Not if you keep referring to me as a bitch. I’m still your mother, watch your tone.” Celeste hissed back.

“Don’t. Not in the fucking mood.” Archer muttered miserably, moving to itch at his hand where the IV for the painkillers was connected. “I look like a fucking mess. I’m aware. Point made.”

“The noise might drive our daughter insane… which would be karma for all the grief she’s caused us I suppose.”

Tesni rested her hand on his cheek as she closed her eyes and kissed him back deeply.

"It would be very entertaining, that's for sure." Louis grinned. "I think we have worked out a plan here."

"Had your ass wooped." Scarlett chuckled, reaching out to catch his hand to stop him scratching. "Leave it be."

"You've been acting like a bitch!"

Marlowe grinned, getting up and following him.

“Don’t, Scar.” Archer set his teeth when she mocked him, sighing deeply.

“Please relax a bit? I can feel you… you’re so tense.” Tobias whispered, moving his hand to her shoulders and gently massaging her.

“Ducks, maybe a dock too on the pond? Might be nice if you wanna pick fishing up in your old age.” Karsi teased.

"It's a joke, lighten up." Scarlett frowned, moving his hand away from his IV and keeping a hold of it so he wouldn't be tempted. "Your mom and brother were about to be at each others throats hence why you get to see my wonderful face first."

She blinked her eyes open then, leaning into his hands and whispering; "I can't help being worried about you, Tobi. You'd be worried about me too."

"Get help and I'll worry less.... let me meet your army friends, the two that are around and I'll be able to chill out - I'll be able to speak to their family then and it won't be as worrying."

"I think you'll have to go to Dorian and Marlowe for something like that." He chuckled.

“Why are you here?” Archer asked as he turned to face her. “I’m obviously not gonna be able to come round for a while and it’s not like this look is exactly attractive - plus the fact I got my ass handed to me. Am I not completely written off the cards now?”

“There aren’t families.” Tobias sighed softly. “I got help when I left, got help before I signed up with Ronan. Ive talked everything out. I’ll be okay, I am okay.”

"It's Glenorchy in Otago, it's nestled next to this massive lake in the middle of the mountains. We'll have the cottage to ourselves. They've got all the classic walks, the peace and quiet. I've paid extra though to have a private masseuse come in to give us a spa day - hot rocks, massages, aroma therapy. The full works." Tesni hummed.

"No, no. I didn't like the idea of a cat and I have never taken to them."

Scarlett shook her head, hesitating before leaning in to kiss him deeply.

“Asher! How is he? Is there any news?” Altair called as he jogged from his car towards the hospital entrance, having set off from the hotel when he’d heard that Archer had been hospitalised.

“Sounds like heaven, I can’t wait.”

“You love them, they’re like surrogate children to you.”

Archer made a small noise of surprise, kissing her back gently after a moment of hesitation.

"It'll be nice, it hasn't been just us in... well, not since everyone has known about us."

Altair sighed deeply, nodding at the reasoning as it was exactly as expected. “How are you doing?”

Archer flinched when she said he looked a mess, moving his hand to run over his head. “You mean when it grows back or…?” He asked shakily, not able to make eye contact as he moved to start scratching absently at the IV port again.

“A sleep in, a breakfast whilst it’s still warm, juice that doesn’t have floaters in it.” Tobias chuckled. “Oh, the glamour in our lives mm?”

“And that happens to be you.”

Marlowe frowned, watching Asher closely as she stood at Altair's side.

Tesni laughed quietly, "Wouldn't trade it for the world."
