"It isn't the first time and I doubt it'll be the last."

“Probably, but hey if you wanted a straight nose maybe prison guard was not your best choice of career.” She told him light heartedly to try and make him smile at least as she fixed the rest of his wounds first before she focused on his nose.

He nodded. “I know.”

"It was the military before this; I think I have downgraded in danger levels." He chuckled. "You could of gone for a more comfy job too though - you put yourself in the firing line here."

Hudson lifted his hand up, digging his own fingernail along a scar that ran down the front of his neck. "I was 'dead' for six minutes. It was darkness; it was nothing. You don't want the chair, you don't want to be stuck in nothing."

Chester looked to him. “Suicide is the reason I’m in here.”

She smiled slightly fixing his nose whilst he chuckled and she plugged it with gauze to stop the bleeding. “I’m slightly safer than you though.” She reminded him.

"Hardly." He missed, grimacing at the way his voice sounded in his own head when his nose was constricted. "You deal with them - the same as tge rest of us."

"Weird reason to end up locked up - what happened?"

“Friend got killed instead.” He shrugged. “It was accidental, he tried to stop me and in the struggle he got killed.”

“True.” She checked his nose was it was back in place. “Okay you’re going to need some pain relief just take the usual paracetamol and ibuprofen to take down the swelling.”

"Ah shit, that sucks man. Sounds like you don't need to be a place like this after that - stuck in your own. Oh - Oh damn." Hudson grimaced as it dawned on him what he had been saying. "I guess what I said about death is the last thing you wanted to hear then. Damnit. Sorry, man."

"I'm too hard-core for that - painkillers don't agree with my allergies." He laughed.

She smiled. “Alright then but take the ibuprofen it will definitely help with the swelling and you’re probably going to have a lot of it.”

“Don’t worry about it.” He told him.

"Thanks," He whispered, getting to his feet then and brushing his uniform down to try and get the creases out. "I appreciate it."

"Right. Okay. Not worrying - got it." Hudson nodded, mostly to himself as he let out a breath; leaning his head back against the wall and staring at the sky.

"Oh maybe you two won't ignore me." Misha called cheerily, the sound of the fence creaking as she leant her body weight against it. Whistling toward Hudson and Taylor; "Hello boys."

Chester looked to the fence and then back to Hudson. “Think she wants your attention.”

Thalia nodded. “No worries.”

"Not interested." Hudson snorted softly. "You go and entertain her. I am busy with something else that is a lot more gripping."

"Hell-oooo."

Noah just gave a nod before going to leave.

Chester raised an eyebrow as he looked to him before he got up and walked to the fence leaning against it. “I’m terribly sorry miss but my friend is being very rude, anything I can do for you?”

Thalia smiled slightly, she wanted to stop him and asking him to join her for a coffee some time or just well something but she chickened out.

Noah froze in the doorway, lifting a hand across to grip the doorway as he hesitated. Glancing over his shoulder; "Oh I uh... don't know if you know but a few of us are going for some drinks when the shifts swap. Your welcome to come, if no one else has invited you yet."

"Oh, oh hi. No one has actually spoken to me before." She grinned leaning back against the chain-link fence to give the illusion of space between them. "Hi... hi. I'm - Oh no.. who am I? I don't remember."

“Well since you’ve not introduced yourself I can’t really help you there.” He told her with a smile to show he was only being playful. “The name is Chester by the way.”

Thalia looked up and she nodded. “Oh yeah, that’s sounds fun, I’d love to.”

"Chester? Oh! Oh you are that Chester. Hi... oh, Hi." She flustered then. "Geez, she knows me well."

"Okay well, it's over at The Greyhound on the edge of Layette Square. I'll meet you there?"

She nodded. “Sounds good.”

Chester simply raised an eyebrow.

"Oh nothing... nothing sorry. I just - yeah Chester is a name that's... different. My dad used to bet on a horse called Chester once, won him a good amount of money."

Noah nodded, giving a wave before walking away.

She waved back before she finished up her paperwork.

Chester nodded. “Yeah that’s something that I get told a lot.”

"I bet." She laughed quietly. "I'm glad a horse doesn't have my name."

"And your name is?" He asked.

After her shift, Thalia headed to the locker rooms and got herself changed, taking her hair out of its bun and running a brush through it, trying to make herself look presetable.

"Misha.... MiMi. Nice to meet you." She smiled, trying to wiggle her hand through the fence to try and shake his hand.

When she was ready, Thalia headed down to the meeting place.

He shook hands with her as best as he could. "Nice to meet you."

"The wire fence is awful, right? Like we are in some kind of victorian school where we aren't allowed to mix."

(( That's alright. I'm having to look after my granddad again tomorrow after work anyway. I won't even be home till like 8pm )
