(( A guard could see her, attack from a far but she gets away and then is found the next day and claims she got hurt running from a wolf? I dunno if you want like a generic to find her or have that for how she meets this weapon trainer who is going to guard her (assuming you'll be playing him) ))

Conan lay on the bed, running fingertips back and forth through Dagmar's hair as he stared up at the ceiling. His face plastered with a frown, and eyes dry; having not slept at all, even once he had assured the door to their room was locked multiple time. As the sun filtered through the window, he took a deep breath, followed by a slow sigh.

"He was a good employee, when he worked with us. I think it is only right if we deliver him to the gods in the Lake of Maygus, invite his village of course - they treasured him." Aodhän whispered, playing with the warmed oats in his bowl but having barley touched them. "Florence spoke once about how the man enjoyed carving, we can bid him farewell with... something to do with that, I don't have much knowledge on the practice."

"Ada!" Kael yelled, having been stood at the city gates waiting as soon as the guards had unlocked the doors and allowed him out, eyes lighting up as her and Dmitri came down the path. Sprinting to meet them and wrapping one arm around her, and the other around the vampire.

"Woah there, we weren't gone long. Not really, what's going on?" Dmitri frowned.

“Hey!” Ada chuckled in greeting as she hugged Kael tightly. “Hi kiddo, what’s wrong mm? We told you we’d be back soon.”

“If there is to be another war… we give the children to Karina and we get them all out of the realm.” Dagmar whispered, having lay awake for most of the night too in contemplation. “She will fight it no doubt, but I imagine now she has her own children Emmett will be on our side. We send them with some help, and they don’t come back until you go for them. We cannot risk their lives…”

“Her door is still locked, I shall give it a few more hours before I force the issue and open it to check on her.” Isolde said quietly, staring at the tea in her cup that she’d hardly touched. “We shall see what she thinks…”

“Izsak is at his mothers home, the guards carried him there this morning after his shift back, he won’t wake for quite a while after the effort of it. They’ll remain outside the house in case he has another episode, but I spoke to Marta and Eris and they agreed that him being with them was probably for the best right now, away from the palace and any triggers. We’ll still provide for them of course, but it gives you a break too.” Draven said quietly as he climbed back into bed beside Sarika, both of them having moved back to their room after Izsak had gone to shift. Draven had left the room around an hour ago as the sun rose to check the aftermath of the night, only just returning a few seconds ago after sorting things.

"They're going to ask you to leave - the Angel king. He's here, he told me he is going to tell you to go home if you want to. You can't go..." Kael whined quietly, burying his face against Ada. "You can't go, what if something happens."

"Hey, hey." Dnitri frowned. "Nothing'll happen to you, kid. Not ever again... you don't need anyone to rescue you anymore. You're bigger now, stronger."

"I think that is the best idea, keeping the children safe is our priority. Maybe we should send them away before it develops, it feels like it is going to." Conan whispered, adding soon after; "I feel... sorrowful. Had Cadoc stayed slightly longer than he had then we would have been close, we were beginning to become it. I always thought our parhs would cross again one day. Almosts are horrible concepts."

"Are you still faking it; the niceties or is the girl really beginning to grow on you?"

"Mm." Sarika hummed, still half asleep as she reached her hand out to grab a hold of his arm. Leaning in to nuzzle her face against his skin. "I knew you'd tell me exactly what I needed to hear. I always pity them; those controlled by the moon - it sounds torturous."

“And I’m not going anywhere either.” Ada shook her head. “Why would I leave you and Dima mm? I’m happy here.” Ada assured before laughing softly. “I used to have to crouch down to comfort you and now it’s looking up, Dimitri is right, you’re growing up and don’t need us… but we’re here anyway; because we’re happy here.”

“Losing her love in such a way… I truly do feel for her. And seeing his body with no warning…”

“Deaths in our world are rarely peaceful but nobody deserves to die the way he did… I hope he didn’t see it coming, y’know? Hope he wasn’t in too much pain…” Dagmar whispered sadly.

“Apparently it was particularly brutal, since he’s not shifted in months. It wouldn’t shock me if it took a few days for him to come round.” Draven smoothed her hair down. “Hopefully he’ll be better now, now his wolf has been stretched and sated. Might ease the episodes.”

"You fae and your unnatural ability to grow very tall." Dmitri hummed with a light cheerfulness, ruffling Kael hair gently. "You'll be towering over everyone when you reach adulthood."

"You can't leave me." Kael repeated, voice shaking quietly. "The choices other people made took my mum, they can't take my best friends too. It isn't fair, when do I start getting a say in my life?"

"Horrible, and I have no doubt it is made harder by how they weren't on good terms when he left. Harder even still by how it may have brought back whatever was done to her when she was captured." Aodhän whispered, picking a spoonful of pats up and watching them splash back down into the bowl before lifting his gaze up to her. "It isn't what I asked you though; are you genuinely becoming friends with the girl?"

"I am almost crippling grateful that we didn't tell Emmett we were coming, that he wasn't here last night. He would be fine, I am sure, on the surface anyway but...." Conan shook his head. "Can we sgree to not tell the man how the Cadoc was killed? Can we just tell him wolves were trespassing if it comes up. It may set him back, and Karina will be furious with us too."

"He thinks we don't love him, you know." Sarika whispered. "The day after he came home, he asked me if he had been a political tool or if we asked for him back. I was honest, I said the Fae offered us a prisoner and we were just so happy it was him... so now he just.. has it in his head. In the moment I told him I would shift with him last night too, that will ne another thing he will hate me for."

“It’s hard to lie to Karina, you know she has that sixth sense thing as well as the visions.” Dagmar grimaced as she sat up. “That’s if they haven’t already heard something by the time we get back.”

“I am going nowhere, Kael, I promise.”

“I don’t know.” Isolde shrugged then as she took a sip of her drink. “I sometimes I feel a connection and then sometimes it feels like there is some sort of barrier between us. It is one sided and she is holding something back and it makes it hard tonfeelnlileninam friends with her.”

“I don’t think he hates you.” Draven shook his head. “I think he’s been through a lot and he’s sensitive, and eventually this will settle, I promise.”

"I wish I could allow myself time with you, time to sleep without it seemingly negatively effecting everyone else." Sarika sighed. "The pressure has never felt so heavy."

"I suppose real friendships take more than a few weeks, give persevering; whether as a genuine effort or a faux one." Aodhän whispered, face contorting into a grimace when there was a knock on the door. Whispering; "Shall we pretend we aren't here?"

"They brought me to meet the wolves when you were away," Kael whispered, stepping back from their arms then, pursuing his lips. "They.. they got Flo back from them and she is jumpy now but the way they got her back... they gave them a man and he looked like he was dying. Dad and my Aunt acted like we were exchanging berries for flowers, like it was nothing."

"Oh," Dmitri frowned. "Things can be more complicated than they seem on the surface."

"I think we need to try, to protect them. Karina has been sensitive of Emmett since he was mauled, I can't see her being any better now he is the father of her children. Ignorance is bliss."

“We don’t lie but… we don’t volunteer details either. I think that is the best way around this, because if we lie she’ll be able to tell and that’ll make it worse…”

“Why don’t we go inside and we can talk it over properly? Get some snacks and we can talk about what’s bothering you, and you can fill us in on everything.”

“No… right now we can’t hide unfortunately.” Isolde grimaced before calling; “Come in.”

“Heavy is the head that wears the crown… as the King used to say. The crown no longer exists but the responsibility does.”

"Don't qoute him, that is blasphemous to me." Sarika hummed in light play, tiredly brushing her lips against his skin.

"Something happened last night, and I don't know what. I left my room to find dad and there were guards everywhere, I looked out the window to see if he was outside and it was completely empty." Kael whispered as he turned to walk with them. "I haven't ever seen security like it. They only unlocked the doors half an hour ago."

"Your Highness, and Sir." One of the guards greeted them both with a low of a bow as he could manage; the movement seeming to make the woman grimace in pain from where her muscles had tensed in the cold overnight. "Sorry for the interruption but on patrol we found the Seer in the forest. She had a wound to her stomach, bruises across her head and a laceration to accompany it - her clothes were ripped. We escorted her to the healers straight away, she's stating that she was fell when fleeing from wolves, fell through thorns and onto an upturned branch."

"Silly woman." Aodhän sighed.

"See, what would I do without you?"

“So… she’ll have snuck out of her room knowing the wolves were around to - I don’t know, exact revenge? And managed to get herself hurt in the process?” Isolde sighed deeply, rubbing her forehead in frustration.

“It was a party last night mm? We can see the tents and everything from here, maybe it’s just for that.”

“Hopefully you’ll never have to find out.”

“He spoke wisdom sometimes… not often though.”

Sarika frowned, resting her chin on his shoulders to look up at him. "Do you miss them? The King and Queen."

"There is no hopefully." Conan frowned. "You are not going to ever leave me. You can't."

"No, no they got called into a meeting and that's always means something doesn't it? Something is happening..."

"I - I don't know, Your majesty." The guard grimaced. "She is being seen by healers now, I don't suspect she will be there long. Nothing looked practically life threatening."

“The Queen was… I don’t think she deserved the end she got. She was just a dutiful wife y’know? Doing as she was told. I understand why she had to die, the same with their children but… living in exile would’ve been punishment enough for her I think.”

“We can’t control life can we? I don’t intend to leave you but… y’know.”

“Let us know when she’s back in her room and I’ll head down there to speak to her.”

“We’ll find out Kael, okay? They’ll have to let us know.”

Sarika frowned, brushing her thumb in small circles against his chest. "I'm sorry. You never asked for this and I - I hope I have never made you feel like you can't speak your voice in case it is something I don't agree with. If supporting me ever becomes to hard, if you ever need a break then you can go to the human world; I know you love me, and we could visit each other when we needed to. Or you can go to the witches, whichever you'd prefer."

"Shut up. Be quiet." Conan mumbled. "I can't hear this. It hurts too much, we have had too many conversations like it already."

"In ten minutes they'll release her, that is what they said so yes; not long at all."

"Why will they have to let us know? The three of us are important but not important enough yet." Kael frowned.

“They’re treating you more like an adult now mm? Taking you to important meetings. They’ll let you know.”

Dagmar fell silent then when told to, closing her eyes with a silent sigh.

“I knew what I signed up for with it all, I don’t need to go anywhere.”

Conan turned his head to the side, staring at the door for a little while before whispering; "That sounded harsh; I didn't mean to be rude. I just love you, Dasha darling. I can't picture a world where we aren't together."

"Showing me what monsters they are. I'm not dumb, I know they hurt that man they exchanged for Florence."

The guard nodded, bowing again before taking her leave.

"I understand she is grieving but it is like she does not care for her own life." Aodhän frowned.

“Grief makes you do the stupidest of things… we should know.”

“Hurt him how?”

“I know… but now we have the children we need to talk about it because it’s a possibility… and we have to sort things out for them. I know it’s hard, painful… it hurts me to talk about it too.” Dagmar swallowed thickly.

“You did, deep down.” Draven murmured, brushing his fingers through her hair. “You knew it would be hard but you did it anyway, because you’re brave. I’m still proud of you.”

"No. No the war is over, it is finished. Nothing bad is going to happen to us." Conan mumbled, grimacing as he felt his voice shake.

"The man broke her heart, they hadn't seen each other in a long time and she isn't the bravest person in the world. I thought the worse she would do is wreck her room, lock herself away but to run out into the firing line like that..."

"He just... looked hurt. He looked like a skeleton, his hair was really long. He was dirty and some of the ditt was red so it must have been blood." Kael whispered, swallowing thickly. "He couldn't walk, the guards dragged him along like a doll and just threw him over the border. He hit the floor like... you heard it when he hit the floor, I haven't heard anything like it before. They treated him like he wasn't a person, and dad told me to get used to it when I said I didn't like it."

Sarika sighed, letting her eyes close once again. "You are always allowed to change your mind."

“It’s how prisoners are treated. It’s not… it’s not nice, but it is the way of things.” Ada grimaced, her distaste for her own words obvious.

“We’ll have to - see if we can help her work through that grief.” Isolde tapped against the table. “If we berate her it may make her fly off even more.”

“I love you.” Dagmar murmured gently, moving her hand up and down his chest.

“Never changing my mind when it comes to you Sarika.”

"Time to try and contain her with that friendship you've been building. You've... prepared for this over the past few weeks."

Sarika laughed gently at that. "Are you still tired? I'm still tired.. do you think we can sleep all day today and be left alone?"

"This might be the last push she needs to really see you like that. Grief bonds you sometimes, doesn't it? It's what they say at least."

"I can't do it again. I can't go through another war, Dagmar. It's too painful."

"I will never understand what they done to him, and he'll always have that monster in him now." Kael whispered sadly, pushing the door open and entering the palace.
