"Rowan is a selfish lover, I got the impression he wanted me to do the work with very need for my own pleasure." She hummed, "As for.... Ah, look, here comes his ship. I will leave you, arrive at mine tomorrow morning?"

“Hey you can’t just abandon me.” She told her playfully. “I’m a young adult under the impression of alcohol.” She continued playfully. “Come on hed be happy to see you too.”

"You've barely had any- Fine, fine but I can't be long." She sighed, pulling herself to her feet. "Lets go down then."

“Oh come on I’m just messing, you’re the one who told me to be less serious.” She laughed as she got to her feet. “Come on I’ll race you.”

She grinned at the suggestion, counting down from five and going into a full sprint after one. Following the path and jumping over rocks as she headed down toward the dock.

Ner chased her down pretty easy, she might have been a siren but she had her fathers ability just like Evan did

Catalina slowed down her efforts when Ner naturally ran ahead of her, eventually simply walking the rest of the way. Wrinkling her nose as the smell of fish and sailors became overwhelming as she got to the boat.

Ner easily found her brother well her brother found her and she immediately jumped into his arms hugging him tightly. “I missed you.”

“Missed you too little fish.” He told her as he hugged her tightly

Catalina leant against one of the wooden posts used to moor the boats to the deck. Crossing her arms over her chest as she watched the interaction closely.

Ner looked back for her and she grabbed her brothers hand dragging him back to Catalina. “Right he’s here now what is this thing you two have going on?” She was referring to the debt that her brother had to Catalina that she had kept mentioning but never told her what it was

Catalina laughed at that, shaking her head dismissively and waving her way. "You create big scenarios in your head. I won a darts game, lost a bet, so now he is indebted to me. I don't know how it will be paid back yet." She offered a teasing smirk at Evan. "Loser."

“Seriously that’s what you refused to tell me for weeks?!” She demanded looking between them both in playful exasperation the same you would get with your best friend. “For gods sake, I thought you owed him blood.”

“Well she never did tell me how to repay it.” Evan told her though his tone of voice suggested something Less than innocent.

“Oh Jesus please stop I don’t need my brother and best friend hooking up.”

"I couldn't imagine anything more disgusting." She scoffed playfully. "Now, I must go, I will see the two of you tomorrow morning at my home. Until then I will be seeing if my bannanas have gone off, I am dying for a smoothie." Catalina raised an eyebrow to ensure that Evan had caught the word, smoothie, a code word to request him to come to her later. Wrapping her arm around Ner and kissing her cheek before walking away and back to her home.

Evan gave her a slight nod before he watched her go and he headed back to the house he shared with his sister. Later that night he headed up to Catalinas place as she had asked.

Meanwhile with her brother gone, Ner headed back down to the shore and she made sure that she was alone before she started to sing softly as she held her mothers necklace in her hand, it was a necklace that had. A pretty shell on the end

Catalina lay on her side, dressed in long purple lace gown as she flicked through the pages of a novel - being able to read easily against the dim light of the lamp. Her front door would have been slightly open, an invitation for any visitors to simply walk in.

“You know it’s dangerous to leave your door open at night.” He told her as he shut the door behind him, before he turned to look at her.

"You know the seas see dangerous at this time of year, yet you still go." She answered quietly, lazily pointing toward a glass of port on the pine coffee table without looking up from her book. "That is yours."

“And you know that I can’t die as easily as other men.” He picked up the port taking a drink. “Now what do I owe the pleasure of this summoning?”

Catalina sighed, placing a bookmark against the paper so she could put the book to the side. Sitting herself up more comfortably as her gaze finally found his; "I wanted to know if you were okay, and I wanted the honest answer - you never say the truth with Ner close, mon cheri."

“I can’t have Ner worry,” he told her. “But I’m fine.” He moved to sit on the side of her bed. “I promise, this ship stocked up on blood for this journey so it wasn’t too bad.” He told her as he finished the glass of port. “How have you been?”

"I didn't mean your blood supplies, but it is good to know." She laughed quietly, lifting her hand up to rest her palm against his face. Brushing her thumb along his cheek bone. "I meant with what tomorrow is... how are you?"

He sighed. “It’s been five years, I miss them of course I do but I’m doing okay now.” He told her. “It’s stopped hurting now so I just watch Ner go through it.”

"You lie. You lie to me." Catalina frowned. "You will stay with me tonight, you will tell Ner in the morning that you arrived early to help me prepare food. You will not be the vampire, you will not be Ner's big brother; you will be Evan."

He raised an eyebrow. “Grab another bottle of port and you have a deal.” He told her.

"You know where it is kept, grab it and then come and join me." She hummed, getting to her feet and slinking into the other room to settle down on her bed. Happily curling into her blankets.
