Alessia stood in the kitchen, emptying a large garish yellow bag if bric-and-brac ornaments and plastic flowers in fake vases onto the counter. At her feet, another bag full of soft furnishings; pillows, towels and blankets at her feet.

"It's me," Ana opens the door enough to peer in. "Would you two like to come for a walk with us and the little ones in a bit?

Damian came into the kitchen not longer after and he walkd to the fridge Stefan kept the blood in and he took a blood bag and as he drank from it he stopped to watch her for a few minutes.

Max looked to Rylee. "Fancy some air?"

Alessia didn't notice him, taking one of the fake flower - vase combination from the table and moving across the room - so gently it was like she floated - to place it on one of the upper shelving units.

“What are you doing?”

"What does it look like I am doing?"

“For some reason flower arranging.”

"Decorating. Though I do like flower arranging."

He shrugged. “Can I ask why you’re decorating?”

"Because... I live here?"

“With loads of other creatures.” He reminded her.

"And?"

“Last time I checked you just live here like I do, you don’t own the house.” He reminded her

Sophia had slept well into the next morning, but was now sat huddled on the corner of the bed wrapped up in the blanket.

Rylee considered the question. "Are you going to go?"

“Might be a good idea.”

"I will repeat my question; and?"

“And I’m pretty sure you need their permission to decorate their house.”

"It's some fake flowers, it isn't going to hurt the world." She scoffed, stepping behind the island and pulling up a bouquet in a black china vase that adorned a magnificent display of purples, pinks and blues. "Pink carnations for the love you shared with your wife and child, Purple hyacinth for the grief their loss, a Gladiolus to represent your strength and a yellow Zinnias - to represent what's to come, and the possibility of friendship." As she spoke, she reached out to offer them to him.

He raised and eyebrow, taking the vase.

"I don't imagine you've been offered much empathy with- with all of it, so... yeah."

He shrugged. “I can’t exactly empathise with her killer can I?” He asked. “But thank you for the flowers.”

Sophia had slept well into the next morning, but was now sat huddled on the corner of the bed wrapped up in the blanket.

Rylee nodded. "Okay."

"I'm not asking you to do that. I - I didn't say that. I am offering empathy to you." She grimacing shaking her head as she snatched the plastic flowers back off of the shelf and shoved them into the bag once more. "This was a stupid fucking idea."
