Creatures of the Dark

Damian was waiting for her, he was dressed in black pants, a navy blue button down shirt and his leather jacket. He seemed to pause as he looked to her and he smiled slightly. “Beautiful.”

"This is only half an hour, you should see what I can do with more." She grinned, pausing on the second to last step to look him up and down. "You clean up okay too,"

“Wow thanks just okay.” He told her playfully

Frankie took her hand into his and followed her downstairs to join the others for dinner.

"Do me a favor then? Remind them all of how much they like me when they find me again and try to kill me." She sat herself back down beside him again.

Alice sat at her usual place at the table as Stefan served

"Mhm." Alessia laughed, walking down the rest of the way to him and hooking her arm through his. "Are we driving there? I don't want to ruin my hair with the walk."

"They didn't have a choice, Sophia. It hurts to disobey orders, it really really hurt."

“We’ll I did book us a taxi, I don’t know about you but I might be immortal but I don’t want a dui.”

"Why would that bother you?" Alessia questioned with a quiet laugh. "You could charm your way out of any kind of custody easily enough."

Sophia nodded. "I never did get the chance to thank you for not helping them that day..."

Frankie sat beside Alice at the table like he always did.

Alice helped Stefan serve the meal.

"You're parents mean well but they're... blind. Too focused on legacy and the pack to see that you'd be an awful leader if you were unhappy." Elliot pulled his nose into his face, wrinkling it. "Being their second was always.. a challenge for me."

"I know they tried but like you said before.. the heart wants what it wants. I couldn't help falling in love with a human." She looked over at him. "I never wanted to take over that pack."

"You are exactly what it needed, what it still needs. How could you not want it?"

He laughed softly. “Me not so much you definitely.”

Alice smiled softly as she watched their little family.

"I'd charm them for you," She grinned, stepping outside and slipping into a taxi when the horn beeped to announce it's arrival.

Damian laughed. “That’ll be easy for you.” He told her getting into the taxi with her. “Looking like that any man would be putty in your hands.”

"Dressed in any way they would be."

He smiled. “Good point.”

"I'm not leader material, El. I can't handle a pack.. even I wanted to, it's not possible. My parents aren't going to just step down after I've run away."

When everyone was served their food, Ana sat down. "Let's eat!"

Frankie chuckled.

"I haven't had a drink in so long."

"They aren't going to step down, no. You're going to fight them."

"You know that means I would have to fight them to death or they give in.. and they won't give in. Not even to me."

He smiled softly. “Time to end the dry streak.”

Alice laughed softly

"I know what it means," Elliot whispered, swallowing thickly as he gave a nod. "You must fight, though. You have to. It is your right, and everyone was waiting patiently for your reign."

Rylee didn't need to eat anything but she had joined everyone at the table.

Ana didn't much care for it either but she had grown used to it.

Frankie grinned. "It's been a good day."

I don't stand a chance, Elliot" she whispered in return.

He smiled softly

Stefan smiled softly as he ate with them he didn’t need to eat but he liked the taste

Alice smiled softly

Max ate quietly

Hayden ate hapoily

Nathan glanced around at them all.

Ana ate a little bit.

Rylee was quiet, sitting close to Max.

Frankie ate his food happily.

CJ joined them all at the table.
