Creatures of the Dark

She leaned into more, humming softly.

“Actually you a choose memories and he’s right you were doing this exactly as you were now.” He told her. “Look I’ll put them all back, then you can choose to start again…that might be easier for both of you, after all he doesn’t remember what he’s giving up.” His father told them and without another word he put his hand to the back of Damian’s head and Damian suddenly swore as his father sent all of his memories back at once and it caused him a major headache.


He held her close

She shook her head, walking away. Retreating to her room and slamming the door behind herself.

“This one, seriously?” His father asked. “Right I’ll go and speak to her.”

“Probably not the best idea.”

Alessia settled beneath the covers of her bed, hidden beneath them as she stared into the darkness.

((Except Damian haha, she’s not really interacted with most of mine to be honest))

There was a knock on the door but it wasn’t the demon it was Alice one of the dark angels of the house. Alice was more in turned to emotion and she had felt hers from her own room.

"Leave me alone, leave me alone. I'm tired... I'm tired and it isn't stopping." Alessia pleaded, a sob escaping her lips.

“It’s not Damian darling it’s Alice,” she told her. “I’m going to come in but it’s just because I don’t want to leave you sobbing like this.”

"He doesn't want t- to remember us. He wa-wants to rem- remember ev- everything other than us." With every break in her words she gasped for breath, "A- and he kep- kept things fr- from me an- and- It won't stop! Just make it all stop. I - I want to go home. I - I want to go home."

Alice moved to sit next to her and she wrapped her arms around her. “I know that Damian is not himself right now but I’m sure that he did not mean to hurt you.” She promised her. “None of us knew what he was but it certainly explains some things, I don’t even think he knew truly.” She told her. “But now you are the priority here, is there anything else you want to let out?”

"He doesn't wa- want to rem- remember us. I - I can't - I will not b- be with someone who cho- chooses to f- forget me. I-" She cried, burying her face against her shoulder. "I- I'm trying to- to not... not rea- react bu- but it is like... over and over again ny hea- heart is crum- crumbling."

“Maybe he wants to create new memories?” She asked, gently stroking her hair in comfort. “It’s not sayi mg that your past with him is not important to him, I bet he already feels bad that he’s forgotten you in the first place.” She suggested. “Maybe you two need to sit down together properly and talk about this.”

"No! No he is disregarding everything we have been through. He wants all his memories back except from the ones with me! It's shitty. I - I'm done. I'm done with this place, I'm done."

“I still think you two should talk but it’s your choice if you don’t, at least talk to him before you go.” She suggested

"Stop defending him. He doesn't deserve to be spoken to, he wants to forget me then I am within my right to begin forgetting him."

“If that is where your heart lies then so be it.” She told her. “I won’t try to sway you,” she looked to the door as there was a knock on it. It was timid and she could tell it was Damian.

"What do you want?" She hissed towards the door tiredly.

“We need to talk.” He told her, and I’ll stay out here if you want.”

"Why would I waste the breath on someone who wishes to remember everyone but me? After I killed my family for you, after I risked my life to save you. I am worth remembering, and if you don't agree to that then I have no place for you in any future memories."

“That’s not what I meant.” He told her. “I wanted to remember you, but I wanted to start our relationship differently, and before you take that the wrong way, I know that we didn’t start our relationship on the right foot and I’ve regretted that every day.” He told her. “Fucking hell Alessia I want to marry you and have a family with you, and I can’t forget everything that you’ve done for me.” He told her

"I didn't. I don't want to change a thing about how it started or how it is. I am sorry it isn't good enough for you, but you picking and choosing is just dick-ish. You know it too."

“Last time I checked you knew I was a bit of a dick.” He reminded her. “But I’m sorry, if it helps after I saw how upset you were I changed my mind, I’ve got everything.” He told her. “I heard the others mention the fight that we had before all of this and I honestly thought that starting again was something that you would want and I’m sorry that I was wrong.”

"You've broken my heart." She didn't even sob then, her voice too hoarse for it to come out as anything other than a broken sound.

He moved to lean against the door. “Alessia I’m sorry, I cannot tell you how sorry I am, if you want to forget me then I understand because I don’t deserve you.” He told her. “But all I ask is that you please give me another chance.” He told her. “I know I’m a dick and I will spend every last minute showing you how much I love you, because I do, I love you Alessia.” He said the last bit quietly

Alice looked between them gently rubbing Alessias abck in comfort.

"Your dad hates me..." Alessia barely whispered. "I - How do we have the energy left in us to fight another parent? I - I'm tired."
