Us and Them

She had suddenly burst into sobs, but cuddled close to him anyway.

Gavin: Shh shh it's alright. I'm taking you somewhere safe... what's your name little one? he asked quietly secretly having a very soft spot for little children, his tone had completely changed when he left the chambers and headed into the forest

"Lucy." She told him.

Gavin: Well Lucy I'm Gavin. I'll keep you safe, I promise. Do you know Esmerelda and Howard?

She nodded.

Gavin: Good. he carried her all the way back to where Esmerelda was

Esmerelda was sitting under a tree.

Gavin: made his way over and sat beside her with Lucy on his lap

Lucy lit up at seeing Esmerelda and she got onto her lap almost immediately.

Gavin: smiled a bit for a moment before telling her Tomorrow at dawn

Esmerelda nodded and held Lucy close. "Thank you Gavin."

Gavin: nodded in reply

"What's going to happen to us Es?" Lucy whispered.

"I don't know Lucy, we will find somewhere to stay."

Gavin: I'd have you stay at my place but it's not safe for you there anymore.

"Don't worry, we will find somewhere won't we Lucy?"

Lucy sniffled and nodded.

Gavin: sighed sliding his arm around her

She rested her head on his shoulder.

Gavin: ran his fingers through her hair

"You had best get home, it's late."

((gotta go))

Gavin: And leave you two out here alone all night? No way. he shook his head firmly

"Gavin, we will be fine." Esmerelda told him. "You still have to go on duty."

Gavin: grumbled something under his breath but nodded Alright. Find a safe spot for you both, I'll find you right after...or at the place at sunrise. Be careful.

She nodded and stood up. "We will be fine."

Gavin: sighed and got to his feet pressing a kiss to her lips Love you

She kissed him back. "I love you to."
