He looked to her. “I did,” he confirmed. “We saw that it was where you were located and I acted on impulse.” He told her. “I have no regrets.”

"He took over again before I could thank you properly." She whispered, turning to face him entirely and lowering herself down to her knees with a bowed head.

“That time I let him take over.” He admitted. “You and I don’t have the best-“ he stopped when he noticed what she was doing and he stood to his full height slightly taller thanDamians original height and he bowed to her as well, this was the full sign of respect from him to her only resigned for those the demon cared about.

Alessia slowly rose back to standing straight, requesting quietly, "Can I see your wing? Make sure you healed..."

He nodded and he shrugged his shoulders this time his wings unfolded with the shrug. There was a small healing wound in his wing where he had been hit but other than that he looked unscathed.

Alessia rested her hand near the wound, brushing her thumb against the feathers. "Okay..."

He watched her shivering slightly at her touch

"Sorry, does it hurt?"]

“No it’s….sensitive.”

"Do not lie to me, I know you better than you think I do."

“No you misunderstand it’s not painful sensitive it’s…the other kind.” He tried to explain, being a demon every sense he had was heightened including embarrassing ones like enjoyment.

Alessia snorted, pulling her hand back then, folding her arms across her chest.

“Yeah go ahead laugh.” He told her though he was teasing, and he shrugged his shoulders again his wings disappearing once more

"You're meant to hate me, idiot. Not be getting... excited."

“I don’t hate you Alessia.”

"It has always felt that way."

“I know.” He told her. “And I apologise.”

"It's.. yeah, it's okay."

“I was stupid to let you go but you’re happy now.” He told her. “Maybe we could be friends on day?”

"I am calm, peaceful. Not happy though, no.."

“Really?” He asked curiously, wanting to know more but not wanting to push her.

"I don't remember the last time I was happy... not in our sons whole life, I don't think. Since that night...."

He nodded in understanding. “Is there anything I can do?” He asked

"No, no. I think it's just me now. This numb thing."

“Okay….If there is though just let me know.”
