"I never said you weren't." He laughed, throwing the book over his shoulder as if it were firewood. "Stop wasting your time on that. I am...." He got to his feet, taking both of Cassius' hands to pull him upwards, with the intention of bringing him to another side of the library, "I found good stuff over here."

"Do not underestimate me, my Prince, or his mother - the Princess." He answered, raising an amused brow at Faolan. "Your need for such armour is dramatic, the fact that you are fearful is pathetic."

"I need to make sure you get back to your rooms safe."

“I am guarded, you just do not see him because his presence irritates me, but I’m watched enough - more for others than my own safety.” Aesira chuckled, shaking her head. “You walking me back to my rooms would be a gesture, rather than an actual escort for safety.”

“No, I’m done for the day.” Ira pulled back from the contact, shaking his head.

Faolan waved Tariq away as he headed off.

Cassius mood fell flat, hands falling to his side as he accepted the defeat, "Fine. I'll - You will be at training tomorrow?"

"Mor! Please?" Rakesh called after them sadly.

“I am not allowed!” Mor turned back, shaking her head. “If you come inside but… not out here.”

“Of course.”

“Why does it just sound like you want to see where my rooms are?” Aesira chuckled, though nodded at the offer, her snap from the insults worn off.

"See you there." He nodded, curling fingers in to offer his fist out to offer the handshake once more.

Rakesh took in a breath, it only taking a subtle lean into his own guard for the man to lift him up and begin to trek back towards the castle.

"See." Tariq mused to Faolan. "Letting them decide."

"What are you implying of me? If I wanted to see your room for any other motive then making sure you were safe then I would come out and say it." He chuckled.

”You would not.” Aesira snorted as they walked, taking his arm once more. “You do not seem the type.”

Ira offered him a small smile, performing the handshake with him.

“We will have a similar conversation inside, she only has another hour before her mother will summon her for dinner.”

"I do not seem the type to be bold? That feels insulting." Marcus shook his head. "Do you think I have gotten to where I am by being a push over?"

"The Eastern wing, underneath Sariel Malaika. It is an alias, easily an alias, but books by the writer have been the most interesting for me about The Guardian's and their origin." Cassius informed quietly, patting the back of his shoulder light-heartedly before swiping up his own book and heading out.

Tariq raised an eyebrow, his response only that of silence as he struggled to translate. Instead walking in stride with the Princess' guard.

“There is bold and then there is cocky. You do not seem the type to suggest going straight to my rooms. Bold would be asking if we could go to a tavern, or if we could do something supervised. Cocky is asking to come into my rooms knowing this is a castle full of people and if anyone were to see it my reputation would be in tatters.” Aesira raised her eyebrow as she looked at him, “Are you wanting to ruin my reputation, Marcus?”

"Not yet, for now walking to your door is more than enough. For now, asking for a... supervised ride with you, around the grounds is bold. Tomorrow?" He offered an amused grin, "I need to see if you are fit enough to handle it, so it will be slow."
