“I do not know.” Indira admitted, moving to sit back down on the couch again, “He’s just… he’s my son… what if he ends up preferring her as his mother? Then what do I have? You do not have to worry about this, he won’t ever have another father. Even if I do find love and marry them it will not be until he is older, until you are firmly cemented as father in his mind.”

Kael scoffed, negating the glass to instead grab the whole wine bottle and drink directly from it. By the time Daphne would have entered their quarters, he would have been laying on his back on the floor in front of the lit fireplace, eyes closed and quietly humming to himself.

"The kids worked it out, well... Cassius threw it out on a whim and I couldn't out right lie so they know now." Conan told Liara with an apologetic frown as he stepped into their rooms. "I suggest you avoid him, and Aesira for awhile. They are.. both being unreasonable."

"Hello." Rakesh greeted Mor stiffly, his nose wrinkled as the pollen from the flowers in the gardens around them irritated his senses. Wearing long sleeved, woven jumpers despite the sunlight that bore down upon them.

"Careful, Zaria. If you have another migraine..." Magnus fussed over his eldest, perched on the edge of the seat in his office as he watched the girl. "Lets do something quiet instead, mm? Stamping letters might be... too loud, too precise right now. You cam help me in other ways, okay?"

I wasn’t allowed to go riding with Laszlo today, even though he is only on a pony. Mama said it would be best to not be with the baby because he is crying so loudly with his teeth… and now you don’t want me here so… where else?”

“Oh, you are Indira’s family. Hello.” Mor greeted as she glanced over at him. “You just came from the boat.”

“They know? They know about - oh, oh.” Liara moved her hand to her stomach for a brief moment. “I - I’m sorry they’re not happy about this… I’ll stay away if you think it’s best.”

“Oh - Kael? Do you need help?” Daphne frowned as she entered the room and found Kael on the floor, quickly moving to stand by his side and crouch down.

"I have been teaching you how to play chess. I would like to challenge you, properly. I am taking the learning cheats off today." Magnus hummed, reaching beneath his desk to pull out a miniature board. "You can't ask for help."

“Thank you for watching him for me.” Indira scooped her son up from his crib, gently resting the sleeping baby against her chest as she bounced him to keep him asleep.

“I spent the day with the seamstress, measurements and fabrics and the like. She only poked me once or twice by mistake.” Daphne gently ran her fingers through his hair. “Mostly day dresses, for the upcoming warm season… a few delicates.”

“Being left the sole parent when you expected to do this together is hard, but you’re doing well my love.”

“My teachers don’t complain, but I have a feeling they wouldn’t anyway, as they’d be too scared to invoke your anger.” Zaria chuckled.

"Delicates?" Kael hummed, eyes fluttering open once more to gaze up at her with an affectionate grin. "What kind of dresses did you have her make?"

"All the time I can get with my nephew the better," Avani hummed warmly, reaching her hands out to gently curl fingers around Aryan's shoulders instead. "How was the day?"

"Girls can't ever be in charge, don't be silly. You are here to smell nice and smile. It is your dad in charge."
