"He's looking a little distant."

Nidawi blinked a few times before his words before they registered and she blushed. After a moment she nodded and turned so her back faced him, stretching her wings out slowly. "Sorry if I...if I anything."

Stefan rummage through one of the cupboards quietly.

"He always looks distant, if you want me to check on him then I will."

Crystal went back upstairs.
_______

He walked up behind her, and he slid one arm around her waist, as the other gently brushed her wings and he kissed her neck. "I love you."

"More distant than normal. Not childlike wonder but more...he's become cynical almost."

Stefan came up to join her after about ten minutes, standing at the end of the bed for a moment.

Nidawi instantly moved to grip onto his arm to stay upright as she almost buckled, teeth digging into her lip as she stifled a soft noise.

"I'll go and check on him."

She was sitting on the bed holding her daughter as she breastfed her.
_______

He done it few more times to see what kind of reaction he could get from her.

"You don't have to. I could be paranoid."

"Is she awake for good, or will she sleep after that?"

Nidawi slumped against him, relying on him to keep her up as she shivered, breathlessly moaning before she lifted a shaking hand to her mouth.

"It's ok, you don't have to keep yourself quiet Nidawi."

"She will probably sleep."

"No, I worry about him to." She told him. "I'll be back in a few minutes."

"S'embarrassing..." Nidawi dropped her hand though, holding his arm again as she gave another shiver and admitted, "G-Good though..."

Stefan sat next to her, brushing his thumb gently to Rosalie's head.

Damion nodded. "Hopefully it isn't anything..."

"You don't have to be." He kissed her.

Rosalie looked at him as she was fed.

"Hopefully. I'll be back in two minutes."

Nidawi kissed him back slowly, as if it were hard to concentrate.

Stefan smiled before he kissed Crystal's cheek and lay down, waiting for her to finish.

Damion nodded, standing. "I'm going to put cleaner clothes on."

"I love you." He whispered to her.

After a few minutes, she watched her daughter stop drinking and slowly fall asleep, and she lay her on her father's lap as she sorted herself out.

"Ok."

"L-Love you too..." Nidawi squeezed his arm gently before slowly letting go, able to support her own weight now.

"I hope she's not staying there all night or I might roll over and squash her."

Damion kissed the side of her head and went upstairs.

"Don't forget that."

"She isn't." She picked up her daughter and brought herto her bed, lying her in it.

She kissed his lips quickly before she went to find Kaiden.

"I-I won't..." Nidawi slowly started to relax, no longer shuddering. Her wings would tremble every so often, though, and she was just letting them limply hang as opposed to pulling them in.

Stefan rolled to his side so he could watch her.

Kaiden was in the back garden, sat down and absently pulling up grass. He already had a pile.

"Good." He smiled at her.

Crystal moved to join him in bed afterwards.

"Kaiden what are you doing?"

Nidawi slowly moved so she was facing him, hands holding gently onto his shirt.

"Is she settled?"

"Just getting fresh air. Actual air."

"Yeah she is."

She moved to sit with him. "Me and your father are worried about you sweetheart."

He smiled softly at her.

"That's good."

"I'm okay though..."

"If you say so baby."

She smiled.

Kaiden nodded quietly, pulling up grass again.

"Sleep well," Stefan kissed her forehead.

Nidawi smiled in return.

"What did the grass ever do to you."

"You to."

He kissed her forehead.

"Just something to do..."

Stefan nodded before sighing and settling down.

Nidawi kissed his cheek gently in reply, relaxing slowly.

"I heard that your dad spoils you when im not there."

She cuddled up to him.

"I love you no matter what."

"Only sometimes. And he gives me strange things."

"Sleep well." Stefan kissed her head.

"I love you too." Nidawi nodded quietly.

"Like what?"

"You sleep well too."

He smiled softly.

"He gave me a knife once. It was pretty and carved. He told me it'd kill anything I wanted it to."

Stefan nodded before settling in to fall asleep.

"A-And, I'd just like to say, I r-really, really don't w-want to go unless y-you say I have to." Nidawi hunched her shoulders absently.
