"Very helpful," She replied with a quiet laugh, trying to keep his focus on her, "Come on, you choose."

"Well I like pissing off your brother, so I think I will stay at yours."

Emelia laughed quietly at that, "Sounds good to me. I say we kiss in front of him tonight, annoy him even more, hmm?"

"Yeah alright." He smiled slightly.

"I don't know where he went. He just got up and left."

Anthea froze, though Orion just kept on walking through, seemingly uncaring of the growl or simply not having recognised it as a dangerous animal.

"Not asking where he is, asking what happened,"

Emelia returned the smile.

"Don't really want to talk about it."

"You were having a tough time yesterday, too," She mused softly, giving him a small hug and whispering, "I'm right here if you need to talk - kay? Do you have a mobile, I could give you my number."

"Never liked mobiles. And I tend to have trouble most days."

"You want to come to mine for lunch?" She asked him quietly, adding, "We can talk, 'bout whatever you want."

Ryan rode to them and she whistled. "Snow, leave the girl alone."

"Your father has so much faith in you, doesn't he." She grumbled sarcastically, adding, "Saying you'll do that, I wouldn't let you feel alone or unhappy enough to do that."

"He always has faith in his children." He moved away from her. "He had his whores after my mother died, many by the thousand, he left me and Ryan on our own for weeks. He only came home and stayed home when our powers started to show." He walked to the window as he spoke. "I had to care for Ryan on my own, never had much of a childhood. But he wouldn't understan,, he makes it out like he done it all when really it was me, I taught Ry how to defend herself, I taught her how to live. No one helped me...That's why I self-harmed, that's why I stole things, that's why I tried to die."

She watched him and listened in silence, moving so she was stood just behind him when he got near to the end of his explanation, sliding her arms around him from behind and just listening to him.

Anthea relaxed slowly and then gasped, looking around for Orion, twisting back and forth to try and see him.

"You're amazing, Jamie," She told him quietly, "You've gone through so much and your still such a good person. M'here for you, okay? You ever need to talk, I'm here."

"It's really hard to get to know you, you know." April replied with a small sigh, "I want to, want to get to know you."

"Anthea." She pointed in the way he went.

"That isn't how other people see it." He reminded her. "Now I would like it if you didn't go telling people this, I still have a reputation to keep."

"I don't care what other people think, other people don't know you." She whispered, before giving a nod and kissing his cheek, "Wasn't going to tell anyone, anyway. It's not my business to tell. Thank you for trusting me with it." After a moments silence, she asked, "Do you try and keep that reputation up cause it keeps people away from you?"

He moved and lifted her onto the counter so they were roughly the same height. "Pretty much."

She lifted her hand to brush her fingers through his hair, resting the other hand on the side of his face and using her thumb to rub his cheek caringly. Not saying a word in response to it.

"I don't get into the habit of building relationships past one night stands so excuse ms if I'm not terribly committed to this."

Anthea nodded before she mumbled, "If you don't mind, it's quite terrible really, b-but I could use your help. O-Orion has poisoned himself, quite deadly, I'm not sure how we have mulberry in this climate, but I'm going to need help in saving h-his life you see. I can't quite hold a fully grown young man down by myself should he start entering the s-seizures before he's helped."

"It's just a friendship," She hummed, "I could help you, an' you'd get used to it eventually. You just have to trust me a bit, let me bring you a little bit out of your comfort zone. It's nothing huge, just to my house for some food. It's really quite, too, so you won't be over-whelmed with thoughts or anything."

"I love you." He told her truthfully.
