Karl was watching with a wide-smile on his eyes, eyebrows raised slightly in shock as he watched Eri intently. Locking eye contact with her within seconds which simply made me smile wider.

Scott reached his hand over to rest on the side of his brothers head, "I know you can hear me, Dex," he told him shakily, "So you listen to me for once in your life and get better, I believe in you, I need you to fight this and come home so I have help with all of the kids. So you can help me and Kira with our nephew."

Kira walked in around an hour later, exhausted looking from being up all night with Thomas.

"Thank you." Eri whispered, grinning when she saw Karl.

Scott had managed to duck his way under all of the wires, drips and machines so he was laying beside his brother on the bed. Hugging him as he rambled about family memories they'd all had and ones just the two of them had shared too, every so often dropping in a beg for him to get better. Silent tears running down his cheeks.

Kira frowned deeply and sat on the chair.

"They said he's getting worse.... said his brain activity is decreases. If it goes all together he'll be dead, he won't be dead but he may aswell be because he wouldn't come back, it'd just be the machine keeping his body alive." Scott mumbling shakily, "I'm going to lose my baby brother too."

Scott just shook his head, tightening his arms around Dex.

"You're too handsome to ever be with me." Eri room his hand and kissed the back of it. "Yet here we are."

Scott just shook his head and ran his fingertips for the centre of Dex's forehead down to the bottom of his eye, "Come on, come on…. You're strong enough to fight this…. You won't be alone when you ale up, I'll be here, Dex? You're in there somewhere, aren't you? You can hear me. You're safe, you know that? Like when we were both younger and dad and the others had to shift and we hadn't triggered it yet, you used to get scared of thunder and lighting and it was just me and you at home so I had to stay in your room most of the night so you'd sleep. It's just like that, you're safe, I'm here…. All you have to do it wake up, Dex, that's all."

He just laughed softly and kissed her cheek.

Kira sat and listened as tears formed in her eyes.

Eri grinned brightly, turning to the priest when he began to speak. After the rings and vows were exchanged she leaned forward and kissed Karl deeply.

"If you keep going like this, and your brain activity stops, you're going to have to force me to make the choice of turning your life support off or keeping it going and praying your brain activity will magically start again. How would I be able to make that choice? I don't give a crap about the money, Dex, I'll get into millions of dollars of debt to keep you alive if I have to so if your giving up because your worrying about money if it takes you a while to get better than stop. Money is nothing. Money is nothing at all."

Karl wrapped his arm around her waist and brought her closer as he kissed her back deeply.

"Scottie, don't torment yourself please." Kira whispered, "please don't."

Eri moved a hand into his hair and pressed herself against him.

"Dad would be proud of you today, taking his place." Adrian mumbled to his mother, taking her hand.

Olivia rested her head against Adams shoulder.

"I'm not." Scott whispered shakily, "I'm talking to my brother, he can hear me… he can."

Karl moved one hand up from her waist to knot his fingers gently in her hair as he deepened the kiss even further.

"Told myself I'd get through this one without crying, Rian." Astrid whispered, squeezing her sons hand. "Don't say things like that? Makes me want to cry."

Adam ran his fingers through her hair silently.

"I'm so glad they're not having a reception." Olivia whispered with a tired sigh, "Baby's settled, hopefully he or she'll stay like that so I can sleep later."

"He would be, he'd be proud of you for not breaking down and telling her no, for not telling us not to marry because he's not here. He'd be proud."

Eri moved her hand to cup his face.

Kira just frowned deeply and took his hand, flinching when the of the machines started beeping as Dexters heartrate flatlined.

"Dexter." Scott growled, tensing violently.

"Adrian what did I just say?" Astrid whispered shakily as she squeezed his hand tighter to keep herself from trembling.

Adam nodded in agreement with that.

Karl smiled against her lips.

A few seconds later a team of doctors came in, one firmly removing Scott from the bed as they worked on Dexter and another firmly removing both Scott and Kira from the room.

Adrian wrapped an arm around her and kissed her forehead. "Tams been offered a job over here in her field. It's easy enough for me to find one in mine. We're gonna be closer mum, be there for you now." He whispered.

"Adam... You okay?"

"We have a honeymoon to get to." Eri grinned.

Scott flinched at how firm they were being, walking to the closest wall and just pressing his forehead against it. Swallowing thickly.

Adam nodded in response, "Yeah, are you?"

"Yes we do." Karl replied with a quiet laugh.

Kira pulled him into a hug. "He'll make it through."

Scott just trembled in her arms, burying his face in her neck.

Astrid just nodded subtly in response to that, whispering a quiet, "Okay…"

"I'm fine, Ollie," Adam assured quietly.

"I love you too."

Kira kissed his neck and rubbed his back. "Dex won't go down without a fight, you know he won't."

"We'll be close by and you can come round whenever you feel like it. Bet it feels nice to have both me and Adam back home, mm?"

Olivia just nodded, looking to Zosia when she yawned.

Eri nodded with a grin before turning in front of her, delicately crouching in front of her sons candles and whispering a quiet goodbye before blowing them out, repeating the process with her mothers and grandmothers candles, before finally blowing out Kols.
