Klaus shook his head, "What do you want, Ness?"

Tatia kissed the top of Vanessa's head before going into her's and Klaus' room.

"Anything, I'm starving, I feel like I haven't eaten in ages..." She held her hands out to Klaus, wanting to be picked up.

Klaus sighed softly and picked her up, getting to his feet and heading down the stairs.

Vanessa wrapped her arms around his neck and snuggled her face into his chest as he walked.

"Do you remember what you saw, Ness?" Klaus asked her before whispering, "I'm sorry me and your mom had to put you back to sleep, I didn't want you hurting yourself, knew you must of been seeing something horrible and that it'd just get worse."

"Teeth and claws and blood, people I've never seen before..." Vanessa shuddered, burying her face into her dads shoulder.

Klaus just sighed softly and smoothed her hair down, "It's over now, you'll never go through that again." he promised quietly, "Just be careful in the forest now, okay, be careful anywhere outside the house."

Vanessa nodded, "Okay daddy."

"Now, what'd you like to eat? You need to give me some idea."

"Just some toast please, I'm starving."

Klaus nodded and placed her onto her feet as he made her some toast.

Vanessa moved to sit up on the counter as she watched him quietly.

"What'd you want on your toast?"

"Nothing, I'm fine with having it plain."

"Okay," He replied, putting it on a plate and handing it to her when it was done.

Vanessa murmured a thank you as she shoved a piece into her mouth, looking up as Tatia came down the stairs and into the kitchen.

"Hey Tat." Klaus greeted.

Tatia smiled and kissed his cheek, slipping an arm around his waist as she watched Vanessa. "How's she doing?" she asked quietly, not asking Vanessa because she didn't want her to have to stop eating.

"Okay," Klaus replied quietly

Tatia nodded and watched Vanessa quietly as she leaned into Klaus.

Klaus was silent.

Vanessa put her plate down once she was finished. "Can I go play outside now?"

Klaus frowned at that and just glanced to Tatia.

"We'd rather you didn't Ness, not after what happened yesterday..."

"Well if you hadn't left me, yesterday wouldn't have happened!" Vanessa snapped back instantly, outraged that her mother wasn't letting her go outside. Tatia just cringed a little at what Vanessa said.

"Vanessa!" Klaus scolded, "Now you're definetly not going outside now. Maybe if you would of stayed with Astrid and Kol it wouldn't of happened, either. Don't pin this onto other people, it was no ones fault."
