"No matter w-what he has to. I-It's law. W-Whether or not Jess tells h-him not to, he h-has to do it." Faye let out a breathless sob. "I-I'm scared Rosco."

Tuesday nodded slowly, absently reaching her hand for him. "H-Help me up."

Aria smiled softly at Lucy before going to check on Scareth, leaving Lucy's door ajar so she could hear her.

"We're going to be worried. You're pregnant, you're ours, and we're protective."

Death silently appeared next to Jess and murmured, "Apologies for my absence."

Jess looked at him. "You're forgiven, but the babysitter was really uncalled for." She told him as she watched the fireplace, keeping her back to him as she said this last bit. "Why did you let them have her if this was their outcome?"

"Well don't, and go and have some father and son time with Hayden."

Scareth was still asleep in the chair.

He Helped her up.

"I know you are." He pulled her close.

"This family is notorious for breaking laws, I figured 'what was one more'? The child will have all the abilities of a Psychic and none of the limitations. Demons and Angels alike will be baying for her blood. I thought not allowing them to live would lessen their pain. I happen to know Scareth, however, and he would tear the world apart to keep his daughter and wife-to-be alive." Death straightened his posture slightly, folding his hands behind his back. "The law was made millennia ago. So long, in fact, it's probably obsolete anyway. Miram is one of my elders. I simply made an educated guess that Scareth wouldn't allow it to come about anyway."

"I'm not able to squash my instincts Scarlet."

Aria walked over quietly, kneeling next to the chair and gently taking hold of his hand. She felt guilty of taking from him while he was sleeping but figured taking enough to be comfortable for the next few hours was okay.

Tuesday braced herself against the headboard, wiping her mouth gently.

"W-What if he takes me away from you, or...or..." Faye pressed herself against him, still not using her hands.

"Well, I don't know yet. I don't think far past my first hunt of the day."

"As will I." She told him. "Scareth is the only person of that family that I can get close to, Faye ignores because I love you and the others don't know that I exist. But any child that Scareth has I will get close to. Couldn't you let Lucy slide just this once as we can't have children?" She asked him quietly.

Scareth didn't stir.

Sirius looked at her.

"Miram wasn't supposed to see Lucy," Death simply stated. "I didn't realise you would go here." He cleared his throat and added quietly, almost looking embarrassed, "Lucy officially died with her mother during child birth eighteen months ago, and any consecutive children simply cannot exist because the mother isn't even alive. Miram will be corrected of her mistake."

"I don't want to leave you in case you go into labour or need help."

Aria pulled his wrist to her mouth as she carefully started to take, leaning against the side of his chair.

"I saw Faye. Is she okay?" After the initial difficulty, Tuesday was recovering quickly.

"You can't s-stop D-Death Rosco, if I have t-to go, I...I..." Faye's voice hitched in a sob. "I don't want t-to go..."

Kai turned to put the towel back. "Getting dressed is normally a good test," he teased.

"Because I lied," Death bit out quietly, shoulders hunched. "I lied. To anyone who looks for the name 'Aria' or 'Lucy' both of them are dead unless seen otherwise. They won't be found. I did completely the opposite of what my job compels me to do to make you happy."

"I'm still going to worry. Is Vivian in the house?"

Aria stood up after about five minutes, moving to brush Scareth's hair from his eyes as she leaned to kiss his forehead softly, smiling at him.

"Should we go and help her?" Tuesday pressed a hand to her front where the wound had been. "How close to my heart?"

"I-If he makes me, I..." Faye tried to pull away from him because she wanted to huddle up again.

"Go get dressed, or do I have to do it for you?" Kai moved to tug on the tie of her dressing gown.

Death was stiff and silent before murmuring, "I went against every being of my body to protect Lucy, as I saw how enamoured you were with her. I've done all I can. Please ask no more of me."

Ian nodded before briefly leaving to find Vivian. When he returned, he murmured, "She's going to stay here and contact me straight when something happens. She's cancelling with her potential date now."

Aria flinched gently away, shoulders hunching guiltily. "I-I'm sorry. I d-didn't want to wake you." She curled a hand up by her throat, posture defensive as if she were afraid of being punished, occasionally getting memories of her father's violence. "I can g-give it back."

"Christ." Tuesday rubbed her chest again. "Won't she get in trouble for that?"

Faye struggled weakly for a few moments before slumping back against him.

Kai tugged her closer by her dressing gown ties again before moving to undo the knot slowly, watching her face as he did so.

When he'd undone the knot, Kai nudged his hands inside of her dressing gown to rest them on her sides as he leaned to kiss her.

Faye moved to grip his shirt and hide her face against his shoulder.

"She gonna be okay?"

"I shouldn't have anyway," Aria mumbled. "Just didn't want to w-wake you."

"She's going to keep an eye on you regardless."

"There was no point." Death shrugged a single shoulder. "You didn't need to know. As I said, I did not predict Miram coming into contact with Lucy. Or Aria, for that matter."

"Having any luck Hayden?" Ian leaned in the doorway to watch him.

Aria slowly relaxed, smoothing her hands almost nervously still against her shirt.

"He'll try...."

"Why not?" Kai pouted before resting his head on her shoulder.

Aria smiled weakly at him.

Faye just quietly tucked herself closer to him.

"I've stopped the crossing, Alarick is alive once again and I want to go to my home and rest, even if I'm incapable of doing so."

Ian nodded. "You found them yet?"

"Jess is downstairs with D-D... her friend. Lucy is still sleeping. D-Did you want to go back to sleep or did you want to do something today?"

Faye rest her head under his chin, breath quietly hitched as she tried to calm down.

"Why not?" Kai nuzzled against her shoulder. "Thought we were trying for a baby."

"What would you like to do?" Aria shuffled slightly, tugging at the hem of her shirt absently.

"Isn't that the job of your parents to do?"

"I want you to l-let go now," Faye mumbled after a moment.

"If that is what you want." Death silently offered her his hand.

Ian waited until he was ready before abruptly scooping him up and throwing him gently over his shoulder, tickling his sides as he did so. "You ready champ?"

"I'm not sure what we can do. I just don't want to go downstairs until...until he's gone. I don't think h-he likes me very much."

"If you're going to do that, I'm going to go to the family house and see how things are going over there."

Faye got to her feet, rubbing her hands nervously against her thighs as she paced.

He moved to go back to playing the piano.

Death brought it up to gently kiss her knuckles before they suddenly appeared at his place.

Ian carried him out of the door and the house, walking towards the trees with Hayden still over his shoulder in a fireman's carry.

"I mean comparatively, I think he has more dislike for me because of what I am..."

Kai nodded, moving to kiss her forehead as he tied her dressing gown back up for her.

"There isn't even anywhere I can go where he wouldn't find me," Faye raked her fingers through her hair.
