"Poor you," Nevia laughed quietly, asking playfully, "Will a kiss make you feel better?"

"You're okay, you're okay sweet cheeks." Atticus soothed softly, resting his hand on her back gently.

"That one is the devil though right? I can't tell the difference between the one Nevia fancy's and the devil. I imagine he would be gleeful about it."

Nevia laughed a bit and ducked down to kiss him, gently and briefly.

"That was the devil." Anastasia slowly straightened up. "The other one is just grumpy."

Luci grinned widely at the kiss and gave her one back before laughing.

"Mm, what is it with Via and demons? It's like she sympathises with them or something." Atticus mumbled, "I don't understand her, I really don't."

Nevia just rolled her eyes, reaching her hand forward to rest on his cheek, mumbling, "I don't have much luck hm, caring for an Archfiend and the devil."

Five months later, Nevia was sat in the shop at the front desk. Watching a customer leave as she wrinkled her nose a little bit. Opening the till a few moments later and counting the money.

Atticus was leant against his car, staring at a deep looking gash on his own arm as of he had only noticed it there.

Theon was in a corner of the shop, sat on a chair and head tilted back as if he were sleeping.

Anastasia came jogging towards him when she spotted him from the building she'd come out of. She was in full body armour and had several weapons of all varieties attached. She was also dripping blood but judging by her smile as she came to a stop beside him, it wasn't hers.

"Waiting long?"

She let out a deep sigh at what she counted, putting it back in the till before getting to her feet and walking to the shop door, pulling the blinds down and changing the sign to closed before sitting down beside Theon.

"Not too long no…"

"A little bit. It's been worse before. I'll cope." Nevia whispered, before musing, "You've been quiet today, something been bothering you?"

Atticus nodded.

"Saw my brothers descendent today. Two year old. Chubby little cheeks and tiny legs."

"I'll get cleaned up and then come back okay? I don't think you want icky demon gunk on your seats."

"Most two year olds have that description," She replied with a quiet laugh, "They got any family thing that has stuck throughout the years? Why's that bothering you?"

"A cut appeared on my arm. Nothing happened, my arm stung and now look…"

"The baby looked exactly like my brothers little baby."

"Some demons can do that. We were clearing out the area so maybe one got loose..."

"And why does that bother you…?" She asked with a frown, resting her hand on his upper arm gently.

"Can you not heal it or does it need holy treatment?"

"His baby was never that content. Skin and bone and sickness."

Nevia rubbed her thumb against his shoulder gently, asking, "And it made you feel something?"

"Holy treatment… I think. I've tried healing it and it didn't quite work."

"Just made me wonder is all. Can't feel about it. But it does make me wonder."

"I think I've got some water on me, give me a moment. I've got too many pockets to check."

"That if that kid died or lived on when I became this."

Anastasia dropped two large guns to the floor and started hunting through her pockets.

Nevia was silent then, resting her hands on her lap and whispering, "I assume he lived on, because otherwise descendants wouldn't exist, right?"
