Henrik laughed a bit at that and shook his head, "Vampires are things the mind made up to focus all fears we feel into one being to make life easier and stop us from worrying constantly. That's what I reckon anyway." he shrugged before asking, "You believe in any of the mythological things? Shapeshifters, witches, werewolves, aliens, leprechaun...hybrid?"

"Yeah everyone seems to be feeling terrible.. It's not anyone's fault though."

"My nan claims she's a witch, but I believe none of it. I remember this one time we were out in this town called Mystic Falls, she saw this girl and started hopping around screaming a German word, doppelganger or something, poor girl looked terrified. My nan's not a witch, she's just old and I don't believe in any of it."

"We just feel bad that we weren't strong enough to break away from it."

Henrik's eyes widened a little bit at that and he tilted his head to the side a bit, "What's a doppelgänger? Never heard that one before."

"I'd rather just forget it happened now."

"Like, identical twins that aren't really twins?" Poppy shrugged. "It's the only way I can explain it. When she first saw this girl she started calling her Katherine, berating her for not helping her out in a bad situation years ago even though my gran had apparently helped her when she was running away from some dude called Klaus. The girl looked completely confused, insisted her name was Elena or Alana or something and she'd never met my gran before in her entire life. And considering this deed was supposed to have been done in the eighties, I don't doubt it because that girl probably wasn't even alive then."

"If that's what you want, I'm just glad you're back." Vanessa whispered.

Henrik just stiffled a laugh when his fathers name came into it before waving the conversation topic away, taking a few sips of his coffee and asking, "So…how's your day been? I don't know what to ask anymore, as you could probably guess."

"I woke up drunk, a few hours later the hangover hit and now coffee is curing all of my woes." He replied with a light laugh, soon drinking the last few sips of his coffee.

"I know it's all a bunch of crap, what I've been told about you and your ex girlfriend." Poppy said quietly. "I was hoping me and you could actually give it a go, but it's clear you didn't finish her because you 'weren't feeling it' anymore. Like everyone else is being told."

"Okay, see you in there." Vanessa nodded before heading inside with her children, placing L.J down on the floor as Karina went running into the kitchen.

"I'm sorry," He whispered, "It's not that I don't think you might not be a nice person and all it's just, all a big rush, you know? I'm still recovering from yesterday in all honesty, thought if you stop putting that freaky mojo in your drinks then I might think you're less crazy." he joked lightly at the end.

Mia watched them go before sighing softly and kissing Caleb on the lips gently before heading inside.

"It's in my perfume too, smells nice as well as tasting nice." Poppy laughed, just nodding her head at what he said. "She seemed like a nice girl and you were with her for quite a while, it's understandable that you're taking it hard. We can just be friends in private, don't worry."

"Grandpa!" Karina giggled, bolting straight into Klaus' legs and hugging him, L.J following behind her, stumbling a little as he walked.

"Hey Kari," Klaus greeted, picking her up and hugging her.

"More or less," Klaus nodded, "Henrik's bee having a tough time I'm assuming from the news, so I'll probably phone him later on. I never got round to it last night."

Henrik rolled his eyes at that, "Fun," he whispered sarcastically, wrinkling his nose and turning his face away suddenly when someone behind the bar cut their finger and his face vamped out. Clearly not having fed in a while.

"If you have the time later could you give him a call for us?"

"Sure, I don't know what I could do but I'll ring him." Vanessa nodded before changing the topic. "I know you and mum didn't go out last night for your anniversary obviously 'cause of thing thing with Mia, but if you have Kari and L.J for a few hours now I can look after Lucas and Kira tonight so you can go out then?"

"Hey, you okay? I thought you were okay with this being for the cameras." Poppy frowned.

"I'm fine, don't worry." Henrik grumbled, looking back a few moments later when his face returned to normal.

"Thanks, it's just L.J's been having a bad few nights and I think Leon could really use the sleep without the kids in the house to disturb him, bless him."
