Astrid just shook her head in the negative, sobbing into his shoulder.

"It's fine. Mum you should rest too, you're still not completely recov-"

"I will. I promise. I just had to do that, it had to be done. Don't worry. Your dad has promised to run me a bath help me relax."

Klaus just let out a small sigh, frowning a little bit and telling Vanessa so only she'd hear, "She just disowned Astrid, to her face. She's upset over it but she's pretending not to be."

"They hate me.." She whispered shakily.

"Nobody hates you. They're just upset with a choice you made."

Vanessa frowned at that. "She'll change her mind when she's recovered properly, when the baby is better and when she's feeling right."

"Want me to watch the baby whilst you go get mum the bath and get her relaxed?"

"It'll all work itself out soon."

"Mum, I can take her for another hour whilst you go relax." Vanessa offered.

"No." Tatia almost snapped. "She needs to be with me and her dad. She can't be passed around all the time it's not good for her."

Kol kissed the top of her head.

"It isn't her being passed around, Tat. She's fine with Ness whilst you have a bath." Klaus assured her gently.

Astrid just mumbled a quiet, "Thank you, pretty boy."

"She needs her parents. She needs - "

"Her mum to be calm. Babies can sense stress. Can sense tension. It'll be better for her if she had a stress free mummy who wasn't panicking."

Tatia just sighed and nodded.

"Don't thank me."

"I'll go run you a bath," Klaus told Tatia gently before heading up the stairs.

"Doesn't feel right if I don't thank you though." Astrid whispered, "You're good to me."

"We're married. I'm supposed to be good to you."

"Give her these, slip them in a drink, make her sleep later. She desperately needs it and you know it." Vanessa whispered as she pressed a few sleeping tablets into his palm before he went upstairs. A few minutes later she took the baby from Tatia and watched her mum go upstairs.

"I know, doesn't mean it's not a reason for me not to thank you for it though." Astrid replied quietly, "Let me be grateful to you for just being here, kay?"

Klaus just sighed softly, whispering to Tatia a few minutes later, "Your baths done."

"Thank you." Tatia whispered as she walked to the bathroom, stripping off and climbing in.

Kol just sighed and nodded, looking as Adam started to stir.

Tatia let out a small noise of content, closing her eyes and sinking into the bath.

"Hi." Adam croaked, voice hoarse from screaming earlier.

Klaus laughed and kissed her neck gently.
