Rome laced up his boots and shoved his phone into his pocket as he got to his feet heading for his bike. "Ready then?"

(( I am now officially a university student:) I just enrolled online hehe ))

"Yeah, yeah." Jessica laughed putting her hands in her pockets ad wandering after him. "It'd be cheaper if we got one room, by the way, so I think we should get one room."

"Na, come on, tell me."

"Just how you went from shouting at me, to analyzing me to smiling....just like that."


"Mm don't worry about it right now" he replied glancing over his shoulder at her.

Jessica just shrugged, getting onto the bike.

"Yeah…" She replied, with an almost silent laugh. Shrugging a little bit and mumbling, "I'm sorry, people say I'm like that - apparently it's why I don't have many friends."

Nathaniel shrugged. "And I do?"


As soon as she was sat he took off down the path once more.

"You have power though, here. Respect, so you don't get pushed around. I don't have that."

She wrapped her arms around him and rested her head on his shoulder.

"You know why I have that? Cause I made that for myself. It's not respect I have here Shia, it's fear. They all fear me."


Rome relaxed a bit not minding it in the least, his speed picking up as he hit the larger more open roads.

"Why?" Aleshia asked after remaining quiet for a few minutes.

"If this was just the first day if our little adventure, I look forward to the ones ahead." Jessica laughed.

"Mm don't you worry it'll get better" he laughed leaning his head back a little against hers for just a moment.



"Because fear keeps anyone from questioning me, from finding out anything about me."

"How did you make them fear you though? What did you do to gain it?" She asked quietly, resting her hand on top of his.

Jessica closed her eyes when he leant his head against hers.

"Fear comes in many ways. Dreams, seeing things, hearing things, physical fear... I did whatever I needed. Once the more popular kids feared me they all did."


Rome straightened up a bit soon pulling off the road a few miles away and cutting the engine...ahead of them was a tiny little wooden cabin.

"Other than me, I'm not scared of you." She whispered. "So you can make people hear and see things? You can appear in dreams and stuff?"

Jessica blinked her eyes open and got off of the bike when the engine stopped. Blinking a few times and glancing around, her eyes eventually falling on the cabin.

"Basically. I'm dead Shia, I can do a lot of things."


Rome got off the bike glancing around with a small sigh. "Ready?"

"Hey, what's with the sigh?" Jessica asked with a frown, but nodded in response to his question, "Mhm, I'm ready,"

"Can you be killed? Like…." She grimaced as she tried to find the right words, "You know, does holy water and priest blessings and things hurt you?"

"I don't come here often, that's all..." he muttered grabbing his bag and such from the small trailer thingy he had attached to the bike.


"Killed? Uh not exactly no as I'm already dead. Can you make me disappear, yeah you can." He leaned against one of the walls slipping a hand into his pocket and laughed. "You mean like for evil shit? It can weaken me a bit and whatnot but if I'm not willing to go I won't."

"What is this place?"

"How do people make you disappear?" She asked, glancing over her shoulder as she studied him, "If I know I can look out for things for you, hm?"

"That is something I won't be telling you. It's not as hard as most think it is... the more they fear me, talk about me, know me...the stronger I become."
((Haha now he sounds like Freddy Kruger!))


"This would be a cabin of my dads, he had a ton of them spread around the states" he explained taking her to the door and pushing it open. It wasn't much just a small living room, tiny kitchen, tiny bathroom and a little bedroom but it was clean and mostly updated with everything.

"Ah," Jessica replied softly in understanding. Lifting her hand up to pay his back supportively, "If you need to talk…. You can talk to me, okay?"

"So when people stop fearing you, then you go…?"

"Kinda... I'll be around but maybe not as strongly as I am now. Fear is just one part of it."


Rome turned his head to smile lightly at her. "I'm fine, I know where each place is so you'll see them all as we travel."

"We could go other places if it's too much for you," She whispered, "We don't have to go to all of the places that mean things like this to you."

"You don't trust me enough to tell me the other parts?"

"Not yet. No." He admitted simply. "Not when Gabe is the reason I'm here."


Rome shook his head. "Nah it's fine, there's a lot of stops to make along the way depending on where we head and how long we're gone will depend on what we see."

"How is he the reason your here?"

Jessica just nodded a little bit.

Nathaniel slipped down against the wall until he was sitting, folding his arms over his knees. "He knows where all the strongest places are for me to remain, he helps keep the fear going."


"There's a bedroom down the small hallway over there, you can sleep in there tonight if you like."

She moved from where she was sat to crouch down in front of him, "That's why you're so loyal to him, huh?"
