Cassie just stared at his back watching him go before slowly sinking down into an arm chair.

Amanda was sat on her bed reading.

"I am not in the mood today. Get your kid away from me." She replied sharply, hands trembling slightly. "You know nothing about me, stop being such an idiot."

Connor quietly entered the castle.

"And you know nothing about us, so stop acting all high and mighty and stop trying to tell me what to do with my own daughter."

"I wouldn't have to if you controlled her but she's just been harassing me!"

When he the castle Amanda was up and heading down to him. "Hello Connor."

"Where is he?" Connor asked shakily, voice almost inaudible.

"She was talking to you, that was all, children tend to do that." Ayden told her.

"You shouldn't let her talk to strangers." She replied sharply before walking away.

"Get a life." He rolled his eyes. "She knows what she's doing." He knelt down as Melody walked over to him in tears after another child ripped up her flowers.

"The guest room. I'll show you, he might be sleeping though," She warned him quietly but she lead him upstairs to the room anyhow.

"Don't care if he's sleeping, just want to see him. Talk to him, he doesn't have to be conscious for it..." Connor whispered quietly as she followed.

"Okay, I was just letting you know. He's in there. I'll leave you to talk with him then."

"Don't you want to sit with me? If we talk to him when he's asleep he might dream, might remember.... It's a shot in the dark but..."

Amanda smiled at this thought and nodded. "Sure. Yeah I'll try anything to help him Connor. Anything."

"I don't know if it will work but- you don't understand Amanda I can't lose him, I can't. It's worse than him being dead,"

"I'm not a twin but I raised twins. Just watching Duncan and Adalaid grow up and see how close they were and are still I can't imagine how hard this is for you. I'll so anything to help, you know what you both mean to me. If there's the slightest chance of it helping I'll do it." She told him laying a hand on his shoulder before opening the bedroom door.
