She knotted her fingers in his shirt as she kissed him.

"Why not? I don't -feel- like a hatef person." He whispered quietly in response to that, wrinkling his nose in confusion. "Gone? Where is he?"

Amanda gave him a light smile. "It's a long story Drake. I'll be honest with you though, a long long time ago you and I dated... Daffyd didn't like for a few reasons the main one at first being because you were a vampire."

She knotted her fingers that weren't in his shirt into his hair.

"Okay.... So how did you end up with him, and where is he now?"

"You and I...we um... well I let you. Maria, she was you're first and true love. She returned and to save myself and you from anything more painful I let you go be with her," She tried to explain softly. "Daff well him and I got together when I moved back here and began spending more time together. He was one of those that died in the aftermath of the explosion in town."

"Oh.... Oh." Drake whispered with a deep frown.

"Hey, hey its alright. Things happen. Especially around here." She smiled softly reaching out and laying a hand on his arm.

Drake moved his gaze to her hand, hesitating before moving one of his to rest on top of hers. Whispering; "I'm sorry I caused you so much pain.... M'not that person anymore, I mean... Maybe I am.... Like I said though, I don't feel like a mean person."

Amanda looked at his hand on top of hers turning her hand to close her fingers over his with a light squeeze. "At the time I'll admit it I was hurt deeply and for a long time but in the end I really did understand and I wanted you happy. It wasn't your fault exactly so it's alright. And this person you are now I'd love to continue getting to know just like I did with the old you."

"And what about this brother; twin.... Would he want to get to know this me?"

Amanda chewed her bottom lip in nervous thought. "I sure hope so. Connor and you were incredibly close. He may need a bit of time to adjust to things just like youre doing but I think in time things will work themselves out." Or so she truly hoped it would.

Melody watched the butterfly fly away and she looked at the woman, moving ever so closer to her dad. "Melody..."

"I'm Teagan, me and your daddy used to go to school together." She hummed softly with a smile. "Don't be scared,"

"He's your brother he could never hate you."

"He was the old mes brother."

"He's 'still' your brother. The only difference is he knows how you used to be, not how you are now."

"He'll be a stranger..."

"I'm a stranger to you as well but you're here giving me a chance."

Melody looked at her and she smiled softly. "Hi."

"You've been kind to me...."

"She's lovely," Teagan hummed, looking to Ayden.

Amanda gave a soft but sad smile as she rubbed her thumb against his arm where her hand was still resting. "And you've been kind to me even when you don't know what I'm talking about at all."

Ayden smiled. "Thank you."

Melody smiled, before she looked at her dad. "Daddy, can we go and have some dinner?"

"Alright Princess." He stood up, picking her up as he looked at Teagan. "Do you want to join us?"

Teagan nodded in response to that, "Mm, if your sure I wouldn't be a burden that would be lovely." she nodded.

"Don't be too flattered, I didn't really have a choice." He pointed out with a quiet laugh, smirking slightly; unknowingly trading like he used to.
